I told you, just got my 87 back on the road - only automatic in the fleet.

Don't they all come like that?

Did I forget to start on Todd's latest developments?

Rob Budd hooked me up with some excellent Lloyds mats. Light blue embroidery, exterior is Venetian blue.

Default Cooking and working on the instrument cluster...

Replaced all the old incandescent bulbs with new LEDs thanks to Ed's awesome instructions. The result is fabulous!

same way here. 28yrs...181k miles. not a ding. I will continue to park that way also. People have no respect for cars parked near them.

and yes..i also check where the cart return corral is and park up hill from it.

OZ Racing Wheels, very good quality, not cheap knock-offs. I purchased them from Mrmerlin:

https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...e-17-inch.html

I have no idea the weight, comparable to OEM 17" wheels.

I love the wheels, but I honestly have no idea why I bought them, it was a knee jerk reaction when I saw the above thread. These wheels came in two styles back in the day. As you see them here and also with a single spoke. I've always wanted the single spoke style and I've been looking for 20+ years now for my 944S.
When I saw these it was "close enough" so I bought them.

The only reason why they are on my 87 is I needed something to install since the other two sets of wheels / tires I would normally have on this car found their way to the 80 and 79. Being so close to winter I'm not buying rubber for any of the other wheels I have to outfit those cars.
These went on the 87 since the rubber is "good enough" for nice weather driving before winter (same rubber as when he sold them to me).

As you can see, I don't have the center caps on. No reason other than I just didn't feel like installing them and I'm starting to like them better without.

I'm tempted to sell them but I might keep them around for the day I ever get my 944S back on the road.

Well at that price I don't see how you could have passed they work perfectly on your car. I always wanted something different than the Cup I's for mine but I just splurged on these for my track car. Since it is an RSR tribute I figured these would work perfectly although they weigh a ton. I need to take pictures of them on the car and then probably sell them since they are about as rare as any Porsche wheel can get. These would look a bit funky on the GTS but I think they would fit if I removed the rear spacers.

Don't get me wrong, I like them on the 928, I just don't need them (or I need to buy another Porsche.... )

Those are nice.....wish we could put a good deep dish wheel on the 928 like the 86 951's

Next up, finding 16" tires for 8.5" wide phone dials for my 79. They are polished which I'm not a huge fan of, thinking of having them anodized.

Those would look nice, just the way they are, on a poorly rimmed red 78 I know of...

Just saying...

Brian.
