I'm sure they will be up soon. Today is the drive around the lake and BBQ at Tim and Cheryl's house. Unfortunantly I didn't get to attend today. There was a pretty good turn out when I was there Friday night.

Kevin,

You missed a great event. Weather, sights and fellowship was awesome!!! Jorg took plenty of pictures and said it would take him a couple of days before he could post...maybe others could post what they have.

Thank you Tim and Cheryl ...again another great event. Hosts with the mostest.

We have relinquished our tiltle of: 2005 Sharks at Tahoe "Flat Tire Car" : mmm I wonder who has it for this year?

No Internet connection at the Biltmore. But Tim and Cheryl kept us busy enough that we did not miss it anyway...

What a great event this was again!!! Thank you soooooo much to Tim and Cheryl to put this together for us. As last year, this was an event with class - professionally put together, relaxed, social, with lots of wonderful people!!!

Amy and I are not in Elko, Utah, after experiencing some trouble with the car: My baby developed a strong vibration from the rear at speeds above 90mph, getting worse over 100, and becoming unbearable at about 145. We felt like the back end was hopping in the air and had to slow down.

So we stopped for gas in Lovelock - as far as I know that's the last town before Wedlock...

Otherwise its been a great and troublefree trip.

Thanks to Tim & Cheryl for another great event!!!!!!!! It was good to see some old friends again & meet Stan with his very nice "elephantbone pearlglanz" car.....I have never seen any car that color before....I like it....it would be neat to see it side be side with Chucks friends 95 GTS in the pearl white!

The fun drive was fun...Tims new "Beast" (you have to get that custom plate) is exactly that.....it literally shakes the earth around it (AT IDLE).....on the fun drive he was about 4 cars in front of me & I heard him downshift for some BWAAAHHHH action!! Incredible....but 515rwhp will do that!! My new wheels & tires (especially tires) made huge difference in the my cars handling...much easier to keep up with the "fast" group in the corners than it was last year! Of course I am convinced that Sharkskins 78 must have a supercharger under the hood!! :>)

Heres a bunch of pics....One last photo in honor of Ron H......it seems you infected me with jails!! I guess a CA cop doesn't carry much weight in NV?

Brian. You look right at home in that last pic! Wish I could have made it for the drives.

Well, SATL was an awesome success! Tim and Cheryl really know how to put on an enjoyable weekend. They deserve more credit than we can possibly convey here

"Little Brother" had a slight heating problem, I think it was related to the radiator flaps so I pulled the fuse, and everything seemed fine after that. And technically, I did not have a flat tire on the car. In fact, it held pressure just fine while on the car, thank you Gerry. It was only after pulling the tire off the car, and yanking out the screw that the tire went flat. Stan had a tire plug kit with him, and with Paul's help we patched it up. But for the fun drives I borrowed Tim's extra set of rear wheels/tires.

It's getting late, so I'll post a few pics before heading to bed.

Sharks parked at Emerald Bay.

More sharks at Emerald Bay

No sharks in this pic, but here is our view of Emerald Bay

Ann, Nicole, and Amy at Emerald Bay. (That's Stan reaching for Bill's nuts on the left )

On the way up to Virginia City, with Reno in the background.

Tim and Cheryl, thanks for all your hard work in making this such a wonderful weekend!

Nicole:

You might have lost a wheel weight. You should be able to get the rear wheels balanced just about anywhere in a half hour or so.

You might want to check those rear axle bolts again too!

Ha! Ha! Ha! What a crack up. Glad I didn't make it there and the cops went after Brian instead. But what about my trip this coming week through Nevada?
I'll just mention Brian's name and say he is standing in for me and to charge him instead. And I'll save the bail money for Denver.

Nicole, if it vibrates at 100, wouldn't it be likely to be magnified at 145 ? Just don't let them use any duct tape on the weights if Bill is correct.

I won't tell anyone what time and day I am leaving. Maybe the cops will keep Brian in jail long enough for me to make it into Utah.

Sounds like everyone had a grand time. I have to slave away here working to afford the Denver trip. Maybe another time for me at Lake Tahoe. Parade is in August also. Too many trips this year. I have to keep Uncle George fed or I'll end up like Brian.

Hi Bill:

Thanks for pointing out the possibility of the axle shaft bolts - I should have thought about this, too!.

Yes, it seems those weights don't stick very well on the newly powdercoated rims. We called Dave at Motorsport and will stop there on our way through SLC - they can check both the balance and the axle shafts, and maybe round-up the locals for a dinner.

I wanted to break my record of 143, but it wasn't much fun with this vibration. It really felt like over 140 the car started "hopping", so I stepped off at 147. Gosh, I had hoped to experience a bit more of the 928s potential...

Obviously, after a while we got a bit bored driving through the desert...
