Ya'all talking about Walt Konency (sp?)? I heard he wasn't real. Has anyone met him? Real or not he helped me in my early years of 928 ownership...via email of course.

He tried to borrow our car trailer to go back east and pick up an 87' but doesn't feel the need to stop by the shop and introduce himself...

He does exist and goes by Western101 on e-bay. I would like to actually meet him someday.

George: Fantastic job on the pics.Your photos catch the scenery that is often a blur on the drives (trying to keep in the same zip code as the beast) and remind us what a beautifull venue this fantastic event at !

Chiming in a bit late here... Finished moving Monday & Tuesday, and the DSL connectivity that was promised for Monday is now looking like "maybe by the end of the month"...

I should be able to get some pics up well before then, but I want to say that Tim and Cheryl really outdid themselves. Last year was a very special treat, and this year was even better. This is definitely an event to mark on your calendar for next year, especially if you missed out this time. The Biltmore offered a great balcony setting, with many attendees having rooms that opened right on the balcony making it feel more like a neighborhood than your typical bland "same as everywhere else" hotel setting. Big Kudos to the Deys for making every aspect of this great event so special. Hopefully next year the OCIC date will get nailed down earlier and more folks will have an opportunity to share in the experience.

BTW Brian, my shark has no SC, no Euro cams, runners, TB or heads(that I'm aware of)... I suppose I just know how to talk to the ol' girl. I take good care of her, and she sings to me...

Tim, I think I was right behind Stan for the first half of that 280° turn as well, but about halfway through I realized that I was just too fatigued for that pace due to the long, hard week that I had prior to the event -- so I backed down and let Stan get away. I'm going to make sure I'm fully rested for next year, so I don't have to let that happen again. Big grins for sure!

George, fabulous work behind the lens, as usual. We are very lucky to have such a great photographer nearby. Thank you for all the wonderful pics!

Last but not least, big, big thanks to the peerless 928 community that makes every get-together feel like a family reunion -- maybe even better!

Angelo,

Where did you go on Sunday? We missed you at lunch. Hopefully you didn't have any problems.

Can you send me the last picture of all of the Shark butts in Virginia City?

Thanks

After checking out the pictures for awhile I have decided that the only thing better than having a nice shark is getting together with other sharks , lining them up and going for a lovely drive !! Gerry
