New Product: Engine Support Bar
PORSCHE 928 944 951 Engine Support Bar
Found a nice one that fits the 928 without modification.
Adjustable engine support allows you to support your engine from the top so you can drop your cross-member.
Use for easy access to:
motor mounts
oil pan gasket
rod bearings
installing headers, etc. with the engine in the car.
Has a 1100 LB capacity, and will not damage your inner fenders.
Fully adjustable for both tilt and width. Fits both the 928 with its narrow engine bay opening (as shown) and also the 944.
I have them here for now:

they will be on my website in a few days.

That's called a Transverse Engine Support.
Would be better if yours came with two spreaders and one each lifting hook. That way, it would work with the engine lifting lugs.

I've seen that one, its a nice tool, but you have to take a hacksaw to it and cut it down to fit the 928 because it does not get short enough. Ours fits without modification, and has two lift hooks, not one.

LOL... that's what I was thinking too.... for $65 it better be made of 24K gold
Be carefull, cause Sniper got banned for something very simmilar. The "middle man" added ~$1300 "handling fee" to the engines.

Well, it vahished, probably got quickly deleted by the moderator, otherwise you would have read about it.
This is what happened in a nut shell: One of the site ponsors posted a tread about 7 brand new '85-'86 short block still available from Porsche. The sponsor's price was "slightly" marked up and as a protest Sinper offered the same thing for I think ~$1000 less (if you deduct Sniper's shipping cost). This is when all hell broke loose, and at the end Sniper told Randy to go F himself. This is when he was told to take a break for a month, and Sniper replied by "Make it permanent!" The actuall post with Sniper's offer was deleted.
But you can see it all for yourself! https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ght=shortblock
