Default Would someone be willing to assist me with a test @ www.928registry.org?

Hi all,

As my site has grown over the last couple years (now up to 1,400+ 928s) it has become increasingly difficult for me to keep up with. I very much would like to have EVERY 928 out there documented but it would physically and mentally impossible for one person to do. I see cars that I would like to add but know I do not have the time to do it and I let them go without adding them. One in particular that comes to mind is the S4 that Tom Selleck used to own. I saw it, missed it and now may never have the opportunity to add it again. After all, I have a wife, a job, three dogs, a house, a bunch of cars that all request/require a great deal of my time my desire to keep all in harmony is high.

I had an idea today and would like to try something and see how it works. My thought is this. I would provide a template in a Word document form and if someone would volunteer to gather information on a particular year 928 by filling in the template and attaching all the available pictures to the doc, then emailing it to me it would literally take me seconds to add each car. This, as opposed to the 5-10 minutes per car it takes now would save me loads of time and effort. Just to give an example. I worked on the site Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday to add ~ 90 cars. I hadn't had a chance to work on the site since October.

My request is this: Would someone be willing to assist with this test? I would like just one person to take a particular year 928 and gather ALL the information about available cars from eBay, autotrader.com, cars.com and any other classifieds site advertising 928s in that particular year, fill out the form and email it to me.

Anyone wish to assist with the test?

Well I think you already know the answer for the 1986 928's. Send me the format so that I can get the right info for the registry.

I've actually already started adjusting the info I take down since the last time we went over this. So any new cars or ones that were still listed, will have more than what I was recording in my excel spreadsheet. What is the picture limit?

Guys, this is a great start. Shane, I knew I could count on you for the 86 models and thanks for all your help so far. Rixter, Bill and Roger thanks so much for volunteering I really appreciate it. I will set up an email group so we can discuss the best ways for you guys to help in a way that makes it easiest for all. Please send me an email @ chuck@928registry.org.

As far as the number of pictures, the more the better. Obviously, if we can down size them but keep them between 7-800 x 5-600 and about 100k that would be great so they take up less space.

I will put together a list of volunteers by model and we'll get started on a test soon.

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate your willingness to help.

Please register your car through the site using the current registration forms. Where I'm needing help is for eBay, autotrader.com, cars.com and any other classifieds site. I don't want to overload anyone who volunteers with registrations that should go through the site. Thanks.

Chuck........is there a need for Canadian registerd cars?

Considering the ability of importing cars to this country that are not avaialble in the US this is perhaps another segment?
