Default Drumroll please...

Although we can't all agree on which wheels look best on a 928, I think that we can all agree that this would be the ugliest wheel on any car -

Why does it remind me of this guy?-

So if you're interested in two slightly cracked examples, they can be had for a meager $50. You'll have to find something else for the other two corners though....

This thread is great evidence for the proposition that 928s should only ever wear wheels that were fitted on a 928 by the factory...

(not necessarily fitted on your exact model of 928 by the factory...but some model of 928... GTS wheels on S4 = great... aftermarket just seem to look so... aftermarket)

Ah, mr Hopwood.. Its just like modifying the bodywork with horrible add ons and destroying the classic timeless shape. Unfortunately i think Porsche themselves went too far even with the S4.

not a fan of most aftermarket wheels, but turbo twist wheels look fantastic on the 928.

Another vote for Cup II's, the rounded shape of the spoke goes so well with the car's own curves. I posted my OEM/Replica Cup II setup many pages ago. Here's another shot with new Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

17 x 9 ET 70 OEM fronts with 245/40/17
18 x 10 ET 47 replica rears with 285/35/18 (I think 275's would look better, these 285's look just a little tall and fat - I prefer a lower profile "tucked in" look)

Carrera III's are undoubtedly the best looking rims for a 928. Sure thats just my opinion, but its also happens to be a fact!

Hello
Here's my 1991 GT with factory flared rear fenders and my special painted 94 GTS rims.

Those Cup II's look great. I have twists on my S4 but bought Carrera III's a while ago, haven't installed them yet but am looking forward to the new look and better offsets.

Unhappy Cup dos

Just went from aftermarket Cup IV
to Porsche Cup II with the scarce 8" ET 70 fronts.

Aesthetically, it's a retrograde imho. Pics to follow at some point.
