It's already settled. I've driven it about 60 miles.

Gotcha!..The rear looked a tad high, hard to tell at night tho.

Either way I like them.

Beautiful!

Car and wheels.

Can't wait to get my new (to me) Carrera III's next spring.

It's quite mild here too today. About 4°C.
More snow on the ground though...

Does anyone have any info on this 19" Porsche wheel? Supposedly it fits the Panamera but it looks like it belongs on a 991. The wheel sizes are 19x8.5 and 19x10, both ET55 offsets.

Heck are 19" wheels even safe for our cars? Also, who has 19"????

Mongo, To answer the last part of your question, Kevin (Hold On) was parked next to my old GTS at OCIC/2012 and was sporting the 19's below. There was also a guards red GTS at the show with the same 19's. I was told Tire Rack had a blow out sale with proper fitment for our cars. They looked great but not sure how they rode. I think Kev has swapped them out for another size/style since then and maybe he can fill you in better than I. T

In those widths and offsets, they're probably Boxster or Cayman wheels - could also be from the Panamera as you mention. There are people running 19" wheels on their 928 but the majority consensus is that they look too large on the car and 18's provide the best visual balance. Considering there are 1250 posts in this thread, I'm sure if you look through it you'll find a number of people on 19s.

Okay so I found out some more about the wheel.

They are replica GT3 and GT2 RS wheels with 5-lugs as opposed to the single lugs on the real Porsche wheels. The sizes are as follows:

19x8.5 ET50 or ET55
19x10 ET55 or ET42

Seeing that the front clears fine for 55, 50 is 2mm below acceptable according to the wheel gurus and may be an issue for the negative scrub radius.

The 19x10 will fit fine for the 55mm offset. I don't know about 42mm though. Given the diameter of the wheel, it will likely control the rear control arms.

These wheels can be found on ebay by searching "Porsche wheels 19 machined"

The tire size I have calculated that would be ideal is:

Front 225/35/19 (25.2" diameter versus 25" factory diameter)
Rear 265/30/19 (25.3" diameter versus 25" factory diameter)

I assume to prevent the look of riding high by about a quarter of an inch, the suspension will need to be lowered slightly in the front and rear.

As Pete just mentioned, they look similar (maybe the same wheel?) found on the Boxster Spyder and Cayman R. Not sure they were available in that finish though, are these aftermarket?

I have run 19" wheels on a 928 in the past and had no issues. In fact, there is a set of 19" wheels going on the GT I'm currently working on.... Many modern cars run 19" and larger stock wheels including many Porsches. With a decent offset and the right tire you won't have any issues.

Anyone willing to do a photoshop edit for me please? Here is a template below for laying the wheels over:

And the wheel itself:

The wheel size already on the existing template was derived from the Fuchs wheel thread, but the size appears to be very close to 19" on my old photoshop.

Found another set I like. These are 18" 981 Cayman wheels. 8x18 ET57 and 9x18 ET47 appear to be the sizes. I'm sure these should fit my car with no issues. They look nearly identical to my wheels, but are 1 inch wider.
