Guys

The 996 twin turbo wheels are now on my GT, no major problems fitting.

Front wheel bearing caps need cutting to shorten them so the centre caps on the wheels fit on.

I flared the rear fenders with a baseball bat and had 2 guys sat on the back of the car while i rolled the fenders.

I'm running p zero tyres with 34psi front and 38psi on the rear, i might lower them a little.

hey stuart, nice! i completely forgot about those bloody bearing caps... im guessing you might need less pressure in the rear but it does seem to depend on the tyre and your prefered style of driving. i cant recall the pressures ive got mine set at but im using michelin pilot sport 2 and 235/315 widths. recently with the 19" x 295 im using on the SE i needed slightly more pressure than i would have guessed in the rear as i was wearing out the shoulders faster than the middle, again i cant recall just how much but i know it was more than im using with the 18"

Who will be the first to get "PimpStar" wheels?

http://customwheel.com/pimpstar.html

"You can send text, graphics, even photos to the wheel -- even while you're driving!"

As if it's not bad enough having people fiddle with cell phones, crack pipes, etc while driving...

That was a reference to the demographic that's most likely to get such wheels. (not implying anything WRT your last comment, Keith... ) I haven't seen these wheels on any cars... BTW they are based in Tennessee. I found the link on a ricer fanboy site that I occasionally lurk on for laughs when I'm really bored.

Can't resist posting on this cool thread any longer :-)

Here are some more 19s... Kinesis K59 9.5" fronts w/265/30-19 and 11" rears w/315/25-19 tires.

..and an 18" Kinesis K28R 11" wide with custom one of a kind real black chrome powder coated centers..(IMHO pic doesn't do it justice)

Wow Dave... That black chrome powdercoat looks incredible! Is there a variation on that wheel that doesn't have all the hard-to-clean hardware showing on the front?

Damn, I want a set of those with the black chrome but they probably cost the same as the 944 S2 track car I am looking at.

You know DR, you should have those rotor hats done up in black chrome too. That would be sick!!! BTW, what's the ETA on my cast hole rotors?

The Fikse Wheels would be a little easier to clean since they have hidden bolts... Here is a shot of Jim Roberts kick a$$ 89 GT with Fikse Fm-10s

Close, and the set I have are the only ones in the world. After Kinesis did those for me they decided it was too much of a hassle and too costly. I haven't checked with them in the last few months about that finish and maybe I can get them to do it now.

BTW, here is the same set with the standard finish ..
