here was the picture that pushed me over the top on painting the centers. I love this car
That would push me over the top too. That is one sweet looking 928.
I think that dark centers on the 3.6 style make the car meaner & more aggressive, and the silver is a bit more subtle. I'd want a set of each to go with my moods.

We MUST post a pic of Dave n Jeannie's 1990 with the Kinesis K28Rs in the incredible looking BLACK CHROME finish!!!! You simply have to see those wheels in person to do them true justice!! The K28Rs in regular chrome look completely awesome too, especially as shown on Samantha's fantastic Iris Blue GTS!! I also like the look of the 02 Carrera 18 inch Five Spokes alot too!

(Both of the following are Strosek cars, so the visual effect may change on a plain wrapper 928)

I know these aren't like the B&W's (if that is what you have Chuck) but I think red centers with chrome lips for a red car is suuuuweeet!

Here is another nice wheel for the 928 when painted the same color

ChuckZ, that was my old car that I restored from a totaled car I bought out of Miami. It hated me, & I had grad-school in my future, so I sold the car to Cody Engle in Canda.

I agree, on this car they look great partly becuase they are a reverse drop center and partly because (like you say) it is a Strosek. If on the other hand they were on a plain wrqpper 928 and had the RH wheels like I have with the centers painted red I feel it wouldn't look quite the same, IMHO of course.

Hey Mark, that was/is one awesome looking car! Why did it hate you?

Chuck, this is for you.

Default I tried to keep some of the "Porscheness"...

I decided to keep the look of a Porsche because of the other mods, but have 19" on the rear and 18" in the front...

Andrew,
Your artist's rendering helped Chuck make his point

That poor black car I restored: here's a demonstration of the car's hatred for me:
-12 clutch pulls: clutch out of balance, clutch discs stuck to flywheel, flywheel timing teeth spun
-Long-tube modifications as the MSDS didn't fit.
-Resetting/timing cams 3x due to lack of manual information
-Ignition issues causing pulse issues, timing issues, fuel problems, & of course, Euro LH to US-LH issues
-& Worst: body shop guy ("best" in Austin) gave me bad advice on removing the side moulding & filling the holes from the DOT-applied side markers & moulding. I was SOOOO mad about that.

Then, grad school. Car had to go, my future at the time showed little time to work on it. Sure is fine looking though huh?? I even saved a copy of those photos from this post...lost most of mine.

M.
