I looove driving my 968 in the rain. Granted, can't tear around, but inside it's comfy cozy, heater works great, headlights are terrific. . . 928's are the same way I expect with the whole luxury thing. . .?

So no excuses!

I guess I must be following weather for pessimists. The Weather Channel has been predicting rain for Sunday all along.

Hmmm... CNN also predicts decent weather - even though cloudy. I think we are somewhat safe. If you are worried about your tires, we can both ride in my car!

IMPORTANT:

Everyone MUST have the following items in their car:
- State-issued ID or Passport for all occupants
- Registration
- Proof of Insurance

Thanks!

Hmm
Lets see....my shark does not like rain, but the tires are fine.....

Bill B ("B" for BALD....as in tires, not hair!)...the problem is Bill will never be able to leave the parking lot with his tires....he'll just sit there with steam, instead of smoke, pouring out of the wheelwells!

At this point two out of three weather forecasts predict dry weather. Unless that changes dramaticallly, I see no reason to change our plans.

As it is, we expect to meet at 8:30AM at the Starbucks off of Bernal Road, San Jose. We plan to leave at 9:00AM. It looks like we're going to make a stop at a gas station about 100 miles into the drive. Then we'll be off the gird for a while...

Keep checking this thread for possible updates!

Hey Guys- I read the thread a little late, like today, and can't go this weekend but would love to go to wine country. I live in Chico but have family in the East Bay. I hope someone is still planning on doing the northern drive. Whoever mentioned Coppola is a genius.

Hi Lorne:

Thank you for connecting with us! We do things throughout the year - either in groups from rennlist, or as the norcal928.org group. Some are fun drives, others are tech sessions, fix-it parties, picnics, go-kart races, etc.

My suggestion is that as a 928 owner you should get on Bill Ball's mailing list, so he can invite you to norcal928 events like the yearly Sharks in the Park picnic.

Hope to meet you in the near future!

Lorne:

We did a North drive to Occidental about a year and one half ago and we should have a wine country drive this year.

Allright, I can't seem to find a website that will give me the weather report I want. They all give me RAIN for Sunday, both in Sunnyvale, and in Carmel.
So I guess we'll bring an umbrella to use at Napenthe. Either way, I will at least go to Carmel because I have an appointment there.
