Doc,
Yes I can let me know when.
We are burying electric cables on Saturday don't need no stinking compressor.
Had you something else in mind?

I need main power to the garage first so some of my friends can use a compressor when wrenching. Nes Pa!

I bought some from Rock auto, but they werelike 35 then. I bought the liquid filled ones.

The Porsche ones on the original cars did not last 15 years. They didn't last 10 years. The fact is that nobody noticed because again its a slow degrade of performance - like your shocks. Shocks degrade slowly, and nobody notices until someone drives a newer car, or the same car with new shocks.

See the attached picture of the four MM I received from RockAuto.
I did not look closely until this morning and realized there were a lot of differences.

RockAuto have the picture and I have returned all four to them.
They are researching why so many different connotations with Anchor and will get back to me.

Spoke with the tech expert at Anchor.
They use 2 part numbers in house.
2698 is hydraulic.
2698SR is solid (Solid Rubber)

No conclusions as yet but whatch this space.

All the MM we have fitted were the hydraulic USA ones.

OK...which one do we need? And how do we make sure we get what we order...? The salespeople just punch a number into the compter,

Question to the experts: I send this Anchor mount (Made in USA) to Germany. The inner rubber came off (picture). I think the mount is fine and this is a piece of rubber that is being crushed when they press the mount together.

Agreed: this appears to be excess rubber extruded ('flashing') during manufacturing - it is not structural/important to correct function.

Roger, more trivia - did all four mounts have the same thread pitch/stud size? Mine were a reasonably standard M12x1.75 ( Porsche uses a M12x1.5), but IIRC some reported sourcing SAE coarse thread nuts to fit the studs.

I also got several pin configurations from Rock Auto. After finally installing two of them, I concluded that the pins didn't matter that much. I forget but you would ideally have one pin at the top (or bottom) only. A hack saw can cut off extra pin. If you don't get any pins you can torque the hell out of the first side you tighten on the MM (top I think).
When you get there it will not be that hard especially compared to wrestling the cross member back in place.
Good luck,
Dave McK.

Garth,
Good point - never checked that as the others were the metric size.
I will check the new ones when they arrive.
Replacements are on the way.
Both Anchor and RockAuto are responding to me and taking the issue seriously.
I will update when I receive the replacements.
Best,
Roger
