The solid MM make it as smooth as a babies bottom!!
Perfect. Like a night and day difference.
A new car again.
Why go with the hydraulic - they are the type that is failing.

Rock Auto describes part no 2698 as "hydraulic" not solid...but what you get anyone know? Isn't 2698H the hydraulic version? BTW, Rock Auto only lists the 2698...not the H version.

Harvey,
IIRC Anchor list the Pt No as 2698 for solid and 2698H as hydraulic.
We use the 2698 and as far as I am aware they are solid.

Nothing was found inside apart from the residue of hydraulic fluid that had leaked out.

Justin,
You know you love me. Why else would you drive 35 miles in the dark of the night to help me put a window in the Stepson. The solid 2698's will be the ones I use.

Hi Roger,

This is the image that RA displays for the mount.

Is this the mount that you have been using?

On the mount that you have been using, was there a need to grind of a metal post?

Thanks,
Michael

Michael,
Identical apart from the extra pin. Should only be one.
I am waiting delivery on the two sets that I ordered.
If they have the two pins I will grind one off. Would take less than a minute.
That is providing everything else is the same.

OK Roger,

Thanks for responding.

Roger, these MM that you are awaiting delivery, are these the very same ones listed at RA for $18?

If so, I will wait until to get them. Then, after your trained eye has given them the once over, I will order a set myself on your recommendation.

Thanks Roger. This info is really appreciated.

Cheers,
Michael

Michael,
I have ordered a number of sets from www.rockauto.com as well as lots of other parts for my other non P cars.
Quick delivery and nice price. I have no reson to beleive these MM's will be any different from the last ones.
I will let you know when they arrive with pics.
Should be tomorrow or Monday.
