Here ya go Thad. The dyno #'s are with literally no tuning. The install is fairly easy though it takes more than a week end. I have no idea on the install side of things how much improvement has been done by DR but I am sure plenty.

I've noticed a couple odd things. What is coiled up next the the SC (Driver side)? Also, is that a spark plug in the end of that vent line on the diver side valve cover?

Don't forget that these SC's are not stock, so the little odd ends are inevitable . Looks vs almost double the pony's is not an issue to those who have ventured in the ultra high performance mod

That is the sample line to the boost gauge, when Andy put the kits together he gave us a mile of line to put the gauge in the trunck if we wanted to. It appears that Jim either hasn't connected it yet or hasn't shortened it for his needs. That is exactly how mine looked all the way up till it burned.

That vent line is part of the GTS breather system, Andy's kit has no provisions for it, so Jim has to redo part of that to intergrate the line. One has to plug things with what is handy, so why not a plug!!

Shane was right on both accounts... It's not a 9 cylinder.

FWIW the dyno and pic are from the 90 that was totalled. I now have the SC in the pic in my 91 and it is a frick'n monster. Haven't Sharktuned it on a dyno yet but looking very forward to it.

And IMOO, I agree with Brian, what you did was way cool.

Thanks to everyone who has posted their ideas. I came up with another version. I believe that simpe is good and this is as simple a system as I can imagine.

This is installed on my 85 - 5-speed, cruise deleted. I am utilizing the stock throttle cable. Pics attached below. I am also including a pic of some nice metal steel ball bearing rollers that I had found at Menards and was going to use instead of the plastic rollers. I was worried about the plastic and underhood temps.

Comments or questions, let me know, but the "original" throttle feel has been returned and I couldn't be happier.

The bracket is 1 inch aluminum angle with a 1/2 spacer, using a 2 inch 6mm bolt, washer and nut. The "twist" allows for a straighter pull on the linkage arm.

I like your bracket!! The S4 cable doesn't have that kind of end on it and has a lot of exposed cable, so your bracket is for 86 and earlier only, right?

I was worried about the metal to metal cable wear with the metal roller, but that was just conjecture on my part. My plastic ones are fine after more than 10K miles, but the plastic is wearing just a little (rather than the cable). No heat issues. You're not using any rollers anyway, are you?

I was wondering about the plastic roller ...figures there would be a good reason. I guess mine is for the 85 and 86 although I wonder if you could use my bracket and an 85 cable on your S-4.

Your design looks very good. Hey, just a thought - Do make sure you get full travel and that the throttle can move from the idle to WOT stops. It looks like the throttle could run into the roof of the bracket and that may need to be bent up a bit and/or trimmed back.

Since the 86 and earlier throttle quadrant is in front of the motor, I think the early cable is too long, but it is worth looking into.
