I really like how the C32 is set up. I think the w211 E55 is the same also, and a V8 of course.

Is there ever going to be a reboot of Eaton units in production?

So you see the intercooler... I can see how the water goes down and back throught the cooler on both sides. What I want to know is where the water/coolant comes from. Does it have its own cooling system, or is it part of the engines coolant system? I would think that if its using coolant from the radiator it would be quite warm and not do much cooling. If it had its own system, that would mean another fill spot, and radiator, etc etc... That is not something the average person would think to check, refill, or maintain.

I like the way everyone has pocked at, and bent, all the intercooler fins... NOT

928 Specialists' twinscrew system is what you describe above. There were lots of improvements made to the kit at the same time.

The C32 AMG uses engine coolant for the intercooler. Seems to work fine.

I know there are some people not using intercoolers on Eaton applications, but what is a safe boost level on an 928 S4? 5 psi without killing rings due to significant heat?

Most use the washer fluid as the intercooler reservoir.

Hmmm... Its hard to say any boost level is "safe" but if you can account for knock, you might be able to go up to 8 psi. I would say 6psi should be relatively safe.

With the 044 fuel pump do I still need the BEGI to maintain proper pressure?

Thanks,
Woody

Take the BEGI and throw it as far as possible. Use 36 or 42 lb injectors, stock FPR, and Sharktune both timing and mixture.

Woody
what you should be using is the sharktuner program, and not the rising rate regulator. But yes you will still need the BEGI if you do not sharktune.

what he said, but hit it a few times with a 12 LB sledge before you throw it.

I am looking at going to somewhere between 6-8psi. Looking for safe dependable stress free boost of about 100HP. I have been watching SC threads somewhat but could never claim to have anywhere near the knowledge as most guys on this thread. Can you give me other suggestions on what I should be looking for with that level of boost. Will my stock clutch be OK? Will I need an intercooler? I do have new knock sensors. This is for 87 S4 with squirter block.
