I plan to install mine in a month or so when I can get the car back out. I also may try to go to 36 pound injectors and ditch the FMU if I can find someone to shartune me.

I was in fiddling around with my intake earlier trying to chase down a vacuum leak, and discovered that the rear rubber injector plug on the passenger side was torn. Not all the way through, but enough that the injector was sort of sitting further down than the rest of them. That's what got me thinking about this.

Anyone else with a Keel style kit should definitely think about this...I view it as very cheap insurance.

Default Washer for power steering pump pulley

Like many others, my ps belt wanted to walk off the end of the new Keel pulley. I made a slightly oversized aluminum disc with the same bolt pattern to fit on it. I think this is the same thing Bill Ball used. At any rate it solved the problem. I made a have a few extras so if anyone wants one just let me know.

Ralph, I may have THOUGHT of using a disk like this to keep the belt from walking off the pulley, but I didn't make one. I could use one for sure!

Yes, Tony, it is odd. The pulleys I got from Andy were not right. The air pump one was off-center and not spaced out far enough. The PS pulley appears to be too far back as well. I have made spacers but the PS belt still walks off one row. I've never had them come off, but it's been a nuisance.

I've never had a problem with my PS pulley, either....weird. Although the pulley is big enough I needed to take out one of the PS pump screws to rotate the pump so the belt clears the alternator ear...

Same here in that 3rd bolt.

I wonder if the pulley is mounted reversed from what Andy intended, although he supervised the install and I wasn't the only one with the same issue from that group of installs.

As I recall, we played around with doing it one way, then the other. You might want to flip it to see if you end up with better results. I think I have the dished side facing in, and the flat side facing out.

I have done it both ways with similar results. Flat side out gives the best clearence from radiator hose. Also, this is the way you mount it with the belt retaining disc. I think the belt walking is more an issue of how "square" the ps is with the crank pulley. With the original v-belt and pulley if it was off a few degrees it probably didn't matter. With the little three groove belt it does. If this is the case, Brian got lucky with a setup that is squarer than Bill's and mine.

Ah, I never appreciated that it could be a problem with angular alignment of the pulleys and not fore/aft. That explains why moving it fore/aft didn't completely fix it.

I'm having 3 sets of bushings made for B. Donaldson, Shane & cfc928gt. I can still offer them for $175.00 a set of 8 with Viton orings installed + 2 extra orings of each size for mishap or spare, including shipping anywhere in the US. Last call. Anybody else need a set before the machinst finishes?

Thanks, Charles, for going to the trouble to do this for such a small batch. I really appreciate it.
