Hey, you're not that far away. Come on down anytime, and I'll be happy to let you take her out!

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. Especially for fellow Rennlisters, I'll be happy to listen to any offers. And I'd sell for a pretty decent bargain price, I think.

I love the car to death, but I'm also getting the bug to get back into some serious songwriting - and that takes money. Seems like I only have enough for one or the other, not both!

I think justifying ownership of a GTS is easy, the price of ownership may not be justifiable to most though. I believe value is a personal thing. I believe that my GTS has much more value than what I paid for it....and even more so now.

The way I look at this whole contreversial thing, is in reference as to it's cost when it was sold new and WHY it cost so much. Without getting deeply into it, this machine has so much innovation, technology, precision, appointments, engineering, comfort, stability, power....and the frickin' list goes on, compared to cars then AND now. I could care less if folks think that there is no value in these cars. PRAISE THE LORD! I can afford one! (actually 3 )

I have said before and I will say it again, these cars (especially the GTS's and GT's) are so under valued it is not even laughable!

Want to see the "value" and how it rates next to another car? Get out a pad and pen and start writing down everything you possibly can about the 928 from bumper to bumper and then do the same with another car of choice...just make sure the PRICE of the "other" car is around the same as what the average price of a GTS (or GT) goes for these days. It will all come into perspective quite quickly.

Keith- Not to go to OT but I love your GTS. Where is so-cal are you? I am seriouly considering picking up a nice GT or GTS to go with my 993. I'm a long time fan of the 928's and I think having my 2 dream cars (993 and 928GT/GTS would be pretty cool). If possible I'd love to meet somewhere around town and check out your GTS (maybe bum a ride ). TIA

BTW- Nice name. Keith is my middle name.......

Thanks Dan. I am actually just north of L.A. in Ventura County. I don't get down to SD much, but OC is generally on the list from time to time. I like the Crystal Cove get together in Newport every now and then. Maybe we could hook up down there in the next month or so. I would be happy to give a "tour" of the GTS...

Hey Jim, I remember passing you at Spokane with the wife and I in the GTS (the GTS that you drove). I don't remember being passed by you. Did I miss something??? Of course that was pre-SC.

Yeah, I think Garth passed about everyone at the Spokane Track Attacks in his GTS. And he wasn't driving too much like a wild man. Impressive car but I think he played with the engine. Stroked?

Shane in his twin screw '86 may have given him a run for his money though. Both waxed me. Good thing I did'nt get out of my car at 140mph to see if my car had quit on me. It's interesting what well sorted out 928 can do...no matter the year.

It isn't stroked but it ain't stock by any means. He ran nice wide soft rubber too. No offense to Garths GTS but Shanes SC would have smoked it. You're talking 400rwhp and a lighter car v the 330 something Garth GTS.

Haha I had missed your post Garth, yes your beast was unstoppable at Spokane the times I saw you guys on-track. And the most impressive thing, you had your not-small self and your lovely wife in the car too, while we all were single. I think not one car, including the M3's etc could hope to catch you

Willhoit searches out the low mileage cars, especially sharks, and he holds them for the right person. Everyone of you has the knowledge about these cars to do this too, you just have to have the tenacity and financial where with all to purchase them when they come up and be prepared to hold them. I have bought and sold through him, and have not been mislead, and I knew I was paying a premium but I also knew I was getting the cream of the crop... Enough on this already, when people like Willhoit, Sloan, Kim, and Ray Joseph get the out of the world prices, it makes the very sharks you own more desirable and valueable.. You should thank them.

Actually, a BIN price of $35K for a GTS is quite reasonable I think, presuming the mechanicals are in good shape.

Edit: I'd like to see engine bay pics and some maintenance history. Also it states the RF fender was replaced due to being backed into in a parking lot.

Someone SAVE that 1994 auto....PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! I saw it last night and was going to post it. One owner car and it looks like they nearly trashed it. Original factory rootwood option and factory phone console for starters

The rims are scraped up and much is scuffed. The car could be a cream puff if the right person got a hold of it and brought it back to life.

"SAVE THE GTS's!"

That's a beautiful car! But I can't quite understand why someone would order a GTS with vinyl door panels and the expensive root wood inserts. If you can spend the money on rootwood, why not go with the extra leather also? Must be the Houston summer heat...
