Interesting that we 'top' the announcement here, but you don't do the same on your forum:

Thumbs up

Hot damn! I'm hoping my ever so nimble 951 will keep pace on the Sunday morning scoot. I look forward to seeing some old faces. C'mon, not literally guys.

Dad is frantically wrapping up his S4 restoration to roll out for this

Keith, PM sent.

Things are shaping up very nicely!

We have nailed down a few more things for the event...trust me when I tell you there is A LOT!!! Most is already in place.

We will be updating the Sharktoberfest website to reflect the changes, but I wanted to add them here first.

Dan Warner of Exotic Motowerks out of Phoenix AZ will not only be leading one of the walk around tech sessions, but will be offering a very special deal for folks with 87-95 cars. He will be bringing his Bosch Hammer to read/clear codes. There will be a sign up sheet and details at the event. I have discovered that most folks don't even know what problems they may have, if the codes were never read/cleared since they have owned the car. This will be a very valuable thing at the 'fest!

We have also nailed down our Sunday Fun drive. Right now we are calling it "Sharks in the Sky"....when you run it, there will be no question as to why we are calling it this! This run was MADE for the 928 as we will experience all kinds of very cool pavement. The views will be awesome and they will be seen from one of America's top, most talked about scenic roads! "Rim of the World" As soon as we nail down a lunch spot, we will post it to the website.

Tech sessions are booked and things are falling into place.

WE ARE A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AWAY PEOPLE!!! You MUST make your hotel reservations by October 7 or you will LOSE OUT!!! Get yourself registered at www.sharktoberfest.com and get a hotel room booked before it's too late!

More to come!

SHARKTOBEFEST 2005
October 21st-23rd

One month to go fellow 928’ers!!! The organizers can hardly contain themselves with all of the great things scheduled for this year. You will surely have a great time, learn and most likely walk away a more knowledgeable 928 owner. Who knows, you may even win one of the great giveaways which includes a set of MSDS headers after Saturday evening's dinner!

We hope that you have already marked your calendar and registered for this monumental Porsche 928 event. If you haven’t, you need to get on it right away! Go to www.sharktoberfest.com for all of the up-to-date info.

Here’s a quick run down to give you some idea of what will be happening:

FRIDAY NIGHT
7 p.m.-11 p.m. at the Four Points Hotel in Fullerton
Our kick off reception at the courtyard bar and patio featuring hors d’oeuvres, drinks and 928 videos outside in the beautiful fall California evening.
SATURDAY
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
928 International will be packed with Porsche 928s. This will be a great day for socializing, learning great 928 info., getting those door dings fixed, clearing those nasty computer codes, eating some great food and just having a sensational time to name a few. There will be lots of event items for sale and 928 products for your car. Don’t forget about the awesome "EVOLUTION" display too!
SATURDAY NIGHT
7:00p.m.-10:00p.m. at "The Valencia Restaurant" located inside the Four Points Hotel. Enjoy a fine dinner amongst your 928 friends with lots of great giveaways afterwards.
SUNDAY
9:30a.m.-2:00p.m. We will meet up at the 928 International parking lot for a one of a kind fun run we are calling "Sharks in the Sky". We will be making an absolutely fun and very visual run along one of the country's most famous scenic roads.

All of this only hints at what will take place on this huge weekend.

Things to remember!
1. You MUST reserve a hotel room by OCTOBER 7th to get the Sharktoberfest rate. That is approximately 2 weeks from now. After the 7th, you are on your own! Hurry because the rooms are filling up fast!
2. If you just want to show up for Saturday activities at 928 International or Sunday for the Fun Run, you needn’t worry about entry fees as these activities are FREE!

Get it together and make sure you attend this years SHARKTOBERFEST!

TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!

HELP! Is there anymore room left in Sharktober Fest???

I have a final on Saturday Oct. 22 at 8:30 am-12:30pm. I will try and complete it as soon as possible and leave for Anaheim right after. It will probably take me about 3 hours (extra hour pending the WORST traffic, or a cop tailgaiting me up the 5 and the 91), but will everyone be at 928 International still? Do I have to reserve my own parking space??? BTW, I'll be attending Saturday's banquet so I will definitely pay my $79. Dad unfortunately cannot make it

EDIT: On the map a text box is covering up the Interstate freeway. Is that the 405 or the 5 that is closer to 928 INTL???

???? it's not covering anything that anyone needs to know. It does say I 5, but 928 Int'l is at the 91 and the 57. The 57 connects with the 5 further south if you are heading north.

If you are coming to 928 Int'l on Sautrday and expect to arrive around 3 pm, you will be catching the tail end of things. Yes, there will still be many folks there, but from past experience, most of the activity is from 9am to 2 pm...generally when some folks decide to leave around 2.

YOu will need to pay for dinner online or on Saturday by 12 pm as we need to get the orders in for dinner. I suggest registering online and deciding on your meal now. Pay now and don't worry about things on Saturday...unless you want to buy some cool Sharktoberfest stuff or items for your car.

Only a month left to the fest, and I finally booked the hotel room. It's fairly reasonable, cost wise, so I really hope we'll have a great turnout.

Remember, guys, we have to break the record - but we can only do it as a team!

I'm staying at my aunt's in Irvine. I think I can drive up on Sunday after spending the night fast enough to be the first person back at 928 Intl on Sunday. Hey we should do a pre-928 International Denny's run on Sunday too!
