Sure it does. When the time comes and we have all the cars we feel we need, we will go through the photo's and decide which cars will be chosen to represent that MY year. Everyone will be contated as to whether their car will dsiplayed or not. This thing has to go before the "committee".

Everyone marked their calendars? I'm gonna unstick this one for now. Keith, let me know as we get closer to the event if there's any follow-on announcements you want to top.

OK, I see. I guess I'm the only one that wanted them stuck. It was a nuisance to have the search for the original posts so I could find some details.

'Tis, most likely, the largest 928 event of the year. Only six weeks away.
May want to keep it topped for the unaware. I think a more than a few people got caught off-guard by Devek days this year.
Can't let that happen here.

I received an interesting off-list note from an out-of-town lister who is watching gas prices rise due to the hurricane damage and the other factors. He's afraid they may have to ride the bus to Sharktoberfest.
I mentioned that I filled karen's 4-Runner last night with $2.93 Unocal regular, up about 10% in the last week and 20% in the last month.
Consider that folks from the SF bay area (except lead-foot Bill...) will use about 50 gals for the ride up and back, the fun drive, etc. The fuel bill increase is $20, not enough to get excited about. By the time the event rolls around, perhaps some of the middle-US supply problem will be cured, the normal Labor Day holiday price increases will go away, and costs will come down a bit.
So, IMHO, it's worth $20 to --not-- have to ride the bus. The bus will be NO FUN on the fun drive, and you will not be allowed to park the bus in the parking lot at 928 Int'l! Even if it has phone-dials on it, you can't fool our expert parking control crew!
Sharktoberfest is coming up fast! If you haven't signed up yet, do it now! Hotel block rates are good for a limited time and for a limited number of rooms. Don't suffer from 'no room at the inn' syndrome or end up paying a higher rate for late sign-up-- Do it now!
See you all in Octo... I mean Sharktober!

Let's hypothetically figure that gas has gone up $.50 (probably has in certain areas, but still a nickel in Iraq!!!) So the 928 tanks holds approx 21 gal. that's $10.50 more you would have to pay per tank. On the high side figure 4 tank fulls, that's $42.00 extra in one weekend. This, of course being hypothetical, is hardly any reason to NOT come out to SF05. This subject shouldn't even be in the conversation. If any of us were concerned about gas hogs, we would not be here.
I agree that this should be stuck at the top of the Rennlist, but Randy is the man with the decision. No reason we cannot keep the chatter up and keep it on the front page! Besides, Dan and I test ran the fun run for this years event, that will be posted on the Sharktoberfest.com site. This run is going to have attendee's talking for years! LOL We are working on a lunch location after the run and then folks can dispurse from there. Unfortunately, the area hasn't awarded us any great places as of yet. Fear not, we will figure it out. So the point is, there will be more info posted to this thread to keep it alive.
