How big is the video. it may be too big for your mail box limit and being rejected, but since yourphone doesn't have mail response you aren't getting the rejected message. Try sending it to somebody elses email address who doesn't have limits, mine for instance. If it comes in I will post it here.

Well it was a Renault. yes I know, not a great kill for a shark, but he decided to try and pull a surprise attack. We were at the lights from a highway turning right into side street where the 2 lanes closed to one just before a roundabout. No problem, he was in front so I figured I would let him pull around then pass before the lane shutdown, not race by, just cruise by in my normal shark takeoff, easy for the shark but fairly brisk for most other road users. So I didn't even realise he was racing till I saw the exhaust smoke pouring from his pipe and found I wasn't actually gaining. So, foot goes, mash, motor goes, rhaawwwwwl, passed him before changing out of first. Was doing him a favour really, he won't embarrass himself in the future taking on a shark

G35 - worth it?
Over the weekend, I had pulled-up behind a spanking new G35 (no plates on it yet). As I pulled behind him at the light, he took a triple-take into his side mirror, as if to say, "What the !!??"
We were at a stop light, waiting for a left turn to get on the on-ramp to the freeway. As the light turned green, he gunned it. I hugged his bumper all the way through the twisty on-ramp. With the shark hardly breathing, his machine was crying in pain to get away from me. As he entered the freeway, he immediately crossed three lanes of traffic to get into the fast lane. I decided not to play that game. That was a bit aggressive to not know if there were highway police just behind us. I decided it was best to let him free - it wasn't worth the risk. I had nothing to prove against his crying machine.
What's sad is the new G35 sounded like a 240z, with a Monza exhaust, with a hole in it. It sounded like a 6cyl wound too tight. I wasn't impressed with it's sound nor speed... Are we spoiled with the sound and performance of our sharks?

I think I need to sell my 993 and get a shark. The folks in the 993 forum don't approve of any kill stories, unless it is in your dream or on the track...

Everyone of you kill story teller would be kicked off the boards if the 993 guys had anything to do with it. It is interesting that they try to be articulate about their beliefs about speeding, but they lose integrity with their foul mouths. Manners gentlemen, manners!!!!

2 new stories from the past few days....and they were both P cars.
Last Thursday, I was in the 82 getting onto the 101 south and while I was cruising the On Ramp, I see a red 928S zipping by. I punched it just to catch up to him to see if I knew him and who knows what after that. Took me about 3 miles to catch him since he was weaving in and out of traffic. I did a couple of right passes, but nothing risky. Finally caught up to him and he was slowed by some traffic. My lane was clear so I did a fly by. I look in the rear view and see him skate over to get in behind me a 1/4mile back. He turned on the speed and as soon as he got within reach, I through a thumbs up out the mail slot and hit the KD switch. My car jumped 3 feet in the air and left a vapor trail for him to sniff. He made a good attempt to keep in pace with me, but everytime I punched the switch, I easily walked away from him.(yes, we were around 70mph) My car has some mods, but his may have been lagging some, because it shouldn't have been that easy for me to shake him. I let him catch up finally and he performed his fly by. I looked quickly to see if I knew him, but no recognition. Nice looking guards red car with chrome flat dish. Last I saw of him, he pulled off the freeway an exit or so up.
Today though was fun.....I was entering the 23 south (another On Ramp) and a newer Carrera sped past on the freeway. THIS time I was in the GTS Since I had gotten the shifting technique down for this car, I just can't get enough "go fast". I came off the ramp hitting third and brought her damn near close to redline and powered into forth. I was up his a** in no time! (Incidently, my cars pull was a major smile inducer!) He punched it to the #2 lane and slung around the car in front of him to get some space, but stayed in the #2 lane. I did the same thing, dropping to third and launched to the #2, caught up to him and passed him in the #1. This all happened in about 1/2 a mile. As I went by, all I saw was a neck snap and that was the last I saw of him.
Can't reeeeally say these were kill stories, but I think the intimidation factor wins a bit of the time. Nothing like the sound of an angry V8 at speed

Let me see Friday humbled a new GT3 911, 2004 Mustang supercharged , Lotus Elise? the new toy race car , Saturday "GTO" 2005 Pontiac(Holden) 5.7 liter, various 911s ,993 etc. 944s had a 914 -4 owner apologizing for being in the way many others I have forgotten. Yes the old very brown 1980 was on the Streets of Willow a couple HOURS Friday, hour 1/2 Saturday so for about $250 I got to drive as fast as I can for 3.5 hours plus helped a student driver get used to driving on a track. Best part is I knew they were RACING ! And yes they were relatively novice drivers in some cases.

Jim did the GT3 driver say anything to you afterwards? I know a few GT3 drivers that need some humbling. Some people lament those coffee can exhausts favored by the Japanese car crowd but most times it's really the only way we know we're being raced.

Kaz after seeing the old very brown in their rear view mirrors at what they consider as too close they somewhat reluctantly wave us past only to discover that even through the twisty bits they can not keep up ....by that time they have seen enough of an old faded very brown 928 so no most rarely stop by to chat after the track session. The owner of a new 2005 C-4s nice guy new student his first Porsche did appreciate that I took him for a 15 minute ride in the very brown he just kept saying how much he needed to learn. He did later spin off track and damaged a front tire 19 Inch rim pinched broke a sidewall and NO SPARE the 997 has no spare so he called a towtruck but stated that he will be coming back to another event. Performance Products signed on as a sponsor for the POC short track series Dave Palmer one of their representatives came to the track to watch and meet the POC members. He was quite interested so I also took him out for a 15 minute test ride which in spite of nearly losing it due to motion sickness he insisted he had a really good time. He did ask was the rear end actually sliding during some of the corners and felt that at times we were way too close to the cars in front of us.

Driving skill plays such a part in all this. Not just skill but nerve, or willingness to put the car at perceived risk. Gonna drive that $$$ toy across the rumble strip? I count on that!
Was 26 out of 55 in time trials last weekend on a 3 mile road course. Still not catching those pesky 993s and 996s with "turbo" on their tails. Lots of Club Race cars out there, too. Getting past a lot of N/A cars and all types of 944s and Boxsters. A full 7 seconds behind the GT2 in the next paddock stall. (He let me touch the ceramic rotors.)
Some people drop by to chat. Not many 911 drivers show a real interest, though.

Jim, you gotta put a camera in the car and sell us arm chair racers copies of the real experience.......Bunch of us went to Quebec in Feb for sledding. There was a local ice race event. small cars with 4 cylinder engines, big honking bolts for studs in the tires, all driven by crazy french canadians. My buddy talked himself into shotgun on one of the cars. It was the most hilarious thing I have seen in a long time. He was so excited he was jumping around like a little kid who had consumed a 5 pound bag of sugar..........God we laughed so hard we couldn't stand up on the ice.....Not a kill story but I hadda contribute something......just in case Randy mods this thread.....
