Car hasn’t been driven in the rain since its restoration. I decide to take it for a spin, see rain coming so I turn around to drop it off at the garage. I avoid the rain and just as I’m waiting for the door to open, it pours down on me!
@abolfaz I've seen this car on some of the Curated guys Instagrams, awesome color combo, love a triple taillight Ferrari.

I'm not so sure that the newer 911's are bloated with little resemblance to the originals... But then again this one is approaching 8 years old...

It's mainly the 992 looks that I don't like that much. Amazing, fast and technically very advanced car but in my opinion it's a big departure from the original.

5 years ago, I specced a GT3 on the porsche configurator and went to my local dealer, the place that helped me with parts of my 928 and had a check to buy this particular car. They had no slots available. This would have been the dd. Not beautiful like a 928 but an amazing sight to see coming down the road. BUT SOUND! My 928 is probably the loudest 928 out there because of my exhaust and the sound inside while driving is incredible, but the GT3 revs to 9000rpm's and has REV MATCHING with the PDK. That would have been amazing.
My actual spec in Carmine Red. Look at how close that interior resembles the 928!
Then in 2021 my nice Fiesta ST, an awesome fun car with the best computer interaction in the biz was crushed by trees in an ice storm. The settlement was fair so for a replacement I ordered a 2021 Camaro LT1 with 6 speed and rev matching. An incredible V8 with 455bhp. These cars are GREAT LOOKING in person. perfect proportions. I actually turned in my R1 as a down payment YET because of the chip shortage BS they did not build any more. So I was refunded in cash. Can't catch a break
Either of these would have been a blast and cool in their own right.

Exactly the point of my original post that started this thread.
well Dave, now you've gone and done it. While I do believe the 928 is the most beautiful car ever made, that 904 comes damn near the top of the list. It is one of the reasons I like the first gen Cayman - a nice modern interpretation of this car.
