We're just getting this all done before it goes in the shop and I lose it for a few weeks...still a PITA.

And the used parts USAA said could come from porschepartsdepot.com, my shop would likely never get, because my shop has refused every recycled part they have ever sent them.

Just for those new to this...you NEVER have to accept a settlement, you can say no...
Since every stock 928 ever produced understeers, the large majority of the "single car" 928 accidents involve front damage.
Good used "recycled" front end parts are few and far between.

That being said, I've got a couple of "virgin" front bumpers, but almost certainly not at "insurance company prices".

I have a complete set of front and rear spoilers that I think are in nice shape but need to open the box to see and will probably sell them as a set. Was thinking I might hang onto the front one in case I ever hit something on the road, but I don't need the rear one as the 84 has that large fiberglass wing on it that goes with the rest of the ovwr-the-topness (18" wheels, stereo, etc).

If you can't find one let me know and I can open up the boxes and come up with a price for them.

They'll work it out...they -will- get new ones.

Just a dance.

looks like minimal damage all things considered,
I wonder if a antler or bone or tooth could have hit the front bumper , lucky it didnt go through the radiator.
the good news your motor mounts are still good,
that saved other damage.

NOTE While the car is in the shop have them weld the forward cat flange to the X pipe.
With them slide clamped front and rear ,
the possibility exists they could come off at speed,
I have seen this happen. luckily the cat didnt hit anything after it came off.

Second NOTE before they weld make sure the cats are far enough back so they capture atleast 2 inches of the rear pipes before they are clamped,

that way the pipes can be taken apart,
and if something hits the rear pipes they should stay in the cats.

Saw that happen too the rear pipes came out .
that was due to loose band clamps, and not enough pipe overlap.
