It might just be that the x-member is bowed up enough to make it look that way. But, you may be right. Should we add collapsed motor mounts to the list?

My, my, its a good thing there aren't any other pictures. Else we might just end up shipping this off to Mark Anderson for discorporation...

As long as we're getting silly...

I notice that the fenders have developed some miraculously-regularly shaped rock chips.

Are you trying to make this thing look worse?

This guy is a mystery. He was a no show.

We had planned to meet at the local Dunkin Donuts and then I was going to follow him to the car. The car is at his house covered and he did not want to drive it down because it snowed here the last two days.

I was running a bit late because of the traffic the new Kryspie Kream created, so I called him....no answer. I called him 3 times, twice while I was at Dunkin Donuts and once when I got back to work (still hungry) from lunch and never got a response.

I look at and buy lots of cars from private party adds with my son in law . One "seller" listed their car for nearly six months I left 6 or 7 answer machine messages before someone finally called me ....very strange . Another guy , we drove to San Diego to look at his Porsche ....looked it over drove it and we agreed to buy it .... we said we have the cash do you have the title because we will take it right now . He then mutters something about his wife has the title and he can not go to her work to see her ......... we leave . Later telephone discussion , he decides NOT to sell it at all . Weird , advertise it get the money offered that you "want" ....not have the title available , then decide not to sell it . I have given up on trying to figure out what is going on inside people's minds . Now I make a point of asking " do you have the title ? If I come and look at the car is there any reason I can not take it home with me right away , I will bring cash ? still people fail to keep appointments , sell the car to someone else before you get there , and grossly misrepresent what they have ........... Maybe we buy one out of three cars we look at .

The irony is instead of eating lunch I go to see the car, get suck in traffic because of Krispy Kreme's grand opening and he is a no show at Dunkin Donuts!

What do I get for my trouble- a donut.

The irony is that the dealer took the pictures at a local church.

Post all the pictures you want (or that John D will let you post) just don't ask "what's wrong with this picture" unless your _really_ want to know...

You never know - folks here might spot something important.

Really!
Seriously this thread has given me a *bit* more confidence in what to look for. The plug wires in the ebay ad had me concerned. Anyone who would be so careless as to just "hook em up" without worrying about having a nice, clean install would also strike me as the same kind of person who would be lacking in their upkeep duties.
Who knows though, the car may just need a small bit of TLC.
It does have a bid now. I had already decided that 10,000 (and not meeting reserve at that) was more than I would be willing to put into the car.

I'm game. What's wrong with this picture (1.6 MB file)?

(Below is the picture in a manageable size; click the link above for the bandwidth hog.)

I'm not going to sell her anytime soon, and I sure would like to get her as near perfect as I can afford to.

First of all, you're about to lose your radiator to the headlight motor! get the e-clip on there pronto!

I've heard of that front fuel hose, between the fuel rails, letting go. Upgrade it.
