No, but I'm aware of what you are describing, from some 928 article. However, do you actually have to remove the underside of the dash, or something like that, or is it accessible?

Planned Agenda for the 2021 Event

March 4th - Arrivals at Hotel (A Loft Jacksonville Airport - 5 minutes from the airport and 35 minutes from Amelia Island - Details in this post (link) Book your hotel room EARLY as rates will rise!)
March 5th - Werks Reunion (EVERYONE should enter the show portion of Werks so the 928s can have their own judging class - registration opens in Mid-December for either Show field OR Parking Corral - BOTH ARE GREAT!)
March 6th - Amelia Island Cars and Coffee - Best Darn Cars and Coffee EVER! (Applications being accepted for Waitlist - please apply here as we're trying to get all 928s that want to participate in)
March 7th - Departures, Amelia Island Concours D'elegance (tickets here) or Fun Runs to Jekyll Island (Georgia) or Anastasia Island (St. Augustine)
OK... I'm trying to make sure I'm using my time efficiently and getting the most out of this trip.

Here's where I'm at:
  1. I have hotel reservations.
  2. I'm waiting on the Werks Reunion registration to open.
  3. I'm on the waitlist for C&C.
Here are my questions:
  1. What is everyone doing Saturday after C&C?
  2. Is anyone going to Amelia on Sunday? (Or is everyone doing the fun runs?)
  3. Amelia tickets are on sale, should I buy them now before they run out?

Hey Shawn -

We'll have options for folks on the Saturday after C&C.

We will also have a couple of run options for those that might want to organize as smaller groups. Specifically thinking of runs to Jekyll Island down some back florida/georgia roads and Anastasia Island/St. Augustine on a ferry and down A1A along North Florida's coast. I probably will also map out a path to Daytona if anyone wants to venture that far south. Bike week starts in Daytona on March 5th.

Amelia Concours D'Elegance on Sunday is always a GREAT production. I'd steer clear of the Bloody Mary's though

Glad you're soliciting feedback! You've done everything you are supposed to do at this point.

Thanks!

Default Friday Saturday drives

Anastasia Island/St. Augustine on a ferry and down A1A along North Florida's coast

Getting everyone on the ferry at the same time would be a photo op, probably never to be repeated. Driving down to
St. Augustine has many great spots to eat/drink plenty of group photo ops along the way. Mabe a trip into Ga. Friday and St. Augustine Saturday. We will continue to build the event so there is plenty to keep everyone involved and entertained.

Hello All,
As I mentioned before I am driving my '81 from Pennsylvania down to Amelia Island and having my '78 ROW shipped via a carrier there. To accommodate delivery of my '78 I rented a house with a large backyard, pool, with a large cabana for some nice parties. It also has a 2 car garage and a driveway that can park 7 to 8 928's plus cul-de-sac street parking. The house would work perfectly for Rendezvous 928 parties and a close place to chill throughout the day for anyone. I rented the house from March 3-8 so we can plan on using this for all. Who's bringing the whiskey and cigars!

That's pretty cool, @MickDoyle . There are likely going to be more 928s than that house/the neighbors could tolerate and, as a vacation rental property owner, you might want to confirm in your rental agreement you can have a "party" or "gathering".

There's a fair amount of work which has gone in to this point to make the ALoft Hotel this year's current HQ. We will have suggested activities planned that either originate from or end up at the host hotel each day. I'm hoping you can join us at the Hotel outside of the event hours on Amelia Island.

All of the promotion will begin in earnest again in November. Those who got in early were rewarded with a place in the Cars & Coffee event. Stay Tuned!

Hotel Rates have gone up 62% and will continue to rise!

Hotel link is here --> HOTEL LINK

If you have not booked a hotel, you can PM me and I will answer in NOVEMBER about the rooms I have personally reserved. This will be first come, first served at the former prevailing rate - which was 62% less.

Trey and Scott, checked with the rental manager and told him we aren't a rowdy bunch and they did say the cars are beautiful and wouldn't be a problem if not to large.

That's great, @MickDoyle ---

I do not think we will be doing anything official as far as the event is concerned at your rental (the planning has been NON-TRIVIAL).

If that changes, I'll reach out to you.

Hmmmm, might have to reconsider this. Got much response from the DFW 928 group?

Sean said they'd likely come but mentioned that he figured Roger would be the ring leader. Can you get Roger on board
