My boat is small enough for the place in the back of your yacht!

Nice boats !
It's actually my father-in-law's boat, they took it out to the sea for the first time this week !
Hopefully we'll go out a few times this summer !

These are old F1 rear hubs, the rest of the car was completely destroyed I believe.
I'll use them to test my vapor-blasting setup and once clean and good looking I'll probably sell them because I have no room for them :/

My 928 will be in the shop by the end of the month !

You're doing a great job Ben! There is less and less Porsche 928 on the roads and even less on tracks... Looking forward cornering with you with your nice baby!!!

I'm sure there are a lot of these broken around here !

This is my solution, I'm proud of it !

I also found the culprit of all of this 928's problems... check valve was completely clogged !

Cleaned the inside a bit...

I received the steel to make my mobile desk so I can 3D scan inside the shop easily !

Once done I'll start this one.... a bit more ambitious but very useful !

Today I take possession of my new delivery vehicle

I'll also use it on the track when the 928 can't go!

I received the 3D scanner !

It can scan idiots...

As well as cars !
I still have to practice but so far it's pretty good !

Today I'll move the lift to the shop when the rain stops !

Great project! I just spent way too much of my work day reading this instead of working.

This thread makes me want a 928!

That sounds like a good way to spend a day ^^

I got the lift in the shop !
Next step is getting rid of the red 928.
But before, I have to fix the blue gemballa 928 as there is a problem on the clutch hydraulic system... I hope it's not the master cylinder...

Soooo
Here is a better application for the 3D scanner !

I was able to identify the aera where the mufflers would touch or not :

I also tried a 3" single tube exhaust :

I got a new set of wheels too !
I would love to use them but they are 16" :/

I'll show you later when they are clean !

'82s were designed for 16" wheels! They give a nicer ride, too.

You should scan the fog/driving light bezels. For a Euro those are unobtainable here in the US

But they won't fitthe big brakes, and my car will never ride nicely again 😂

Yes in europe either, i'm trying to find one for the red 928 and can't find any !

Sooooo,
Here are the wheels I got for 50bucks !

I love them, they are SERTA wheels, made in France in the 80's
But they are 16"... more on that later...

i received the S hatch... but it got damaged during transport...
Good news is that i should be able to bolt the S spoiler on my S4 hatch without much trouble. Just have to plug and paint the old S4 wing holes.

I finished my mobile desk... So i started 3D scanning a lot !

Et voila !

Today, with all the scans i did, I was able to establish a plan for the big brake kit !
I had a few options ! in stock I have : S4 spindles, S spindles, 997 calipers, 970 rear calipers.

i wanted to keep the discs under 330mm to fit the 17" cup1... but after hours of trying and fiddling, I couldn't fit the 997 calipers with the 330mm discs on neither of the spindles...
So I tried with 350mm cayenne discs... and I can make the calipers work on S spindles with 350mm discs !
After designed the adapter bracket, I printed one and tested it to confirm.

So... that's the route I'll take, 997 S front calipers in the front on S spindles, with Cayenne 350x32mm discs.
I have 5x130 aluminum hats, I will check if i can use them with 350x32 friction rings, but the cayenne discs are so much cheaper that it's a no brainer ot start with.
that means I have to sell the cup1 and Sarta wheels... but hey, more money for the rest of the car !

Cup1... rubbing...

panamera wheels, perfect !

Another solution would have been rear Panamera 970 calipers on the S4 spindles with 330 cayenne discs ! Looks like it should fit directly !

i'll order the discs and have all the adapters printed and check fitment one last time before starting production of the adapters. I don't think i'll make much, it doesn't seem like it will be a conversion a lot of people would do.

I have to order the stainless tubes for the exhaust too, with flatter mufflers.
Total cost, around 350€.

And here is the rear !

Still Cayenne discs, 330x28
I'm not a fan of the first version, I'll refine it tomorrow.

I was confronted to a problem, how to thread 12mm lever straight by hand ?
Here was my solution :

It worked perfectly ! I don't even need to chamfer the shafts before starting, the tool catches straight right away and the thread is cut very fast !

My CNC router is almost finished too. But there is 3months of shipping...

Oh boy you have stuff to catch up on !

I should get the machine soon !

The front brakes are validated, and the adapters are getting machined soon !

Perfectly centered.

The rear is validated too ! With 330mm cayenne discs... the hand brake is not working anymore, but it's a track car now, I don't care.

Et voilà :

I have to sell the CUP1 and the SERTA 3 pieces wheels too... I only keep the Panamera wheels. If anyone is interested in Europe ?
