The motor in my 83 is actually sort of special (see sig) and will probably end up being involved in some sort of hilarious project à la Admiralkhole and a supercharger...

Last time I talked with someone on this he said he was trying to get a longer splined rear coupler made to make it work. Would be cool to see one dropped in as other audi trans would work as well.

I can have any/all of that made if anyone wants, I have some design experience with shaft/spline, and have a place nearby that makes nascar/drag gears (among lots of other types)

Gear ratios are quite close to the 01E transmission used in a 968.

Anyone know if a 1981 931 trans bolts up? I thought they had the same input shaft but am not sure about the bellhousing. There's one local that's being parted out, and I've heard those transmissions are one of the strongest ever put into the front engine Porsches.
