Mine is at 2250 and I have left a lot of stuff on it, most of which is needed to stay class legal. I saved 50 pounds just by taking out the factory wiring.

9.5 Body/Interior/Exterior
One of the reasons I'm doing this is to see how light I can get the car. Running a 944S in SP3 at 2550 pounds just sounds awfully appealing, especially since I have a bunch of extra engine stuff, including 2.5L 16V, laying around. I doubt I'll get there, but I'll see how close I get. I think I'll still end up being 100 pounds heavy.

I've seen an early car get below 2100, NA, lexan rear hatch, with a cage. He took every stitch of wiring out, blasted the chassis and cut off anything that wasn't necessary.

Can't wait for Watkins Glen this year.....
As for fans.....
I put mine on dash switches 3 years ago to control them, at the same time put in a turbo radiator. In three years, I've turned the fans on one time in the pits when the temp got to about 210. Don't know that I'd feel comfortable not having them just in case but never use'em.

Hi Van. Too funny. I remember that race at Lime Rock, it was WET! That's my old 73 silver 911 with the red windshield banner in the 2nd row. I was chasing Axel Shields around that day - the 911 in front. Going to the uphill turn there was a huge puddle of water that lasted for 50+ feet. You would have to brake before the puddle, hydoplane across the puddle, then at the last minute, you would get grip and turn uphill. If I remember they ended the race early.

Not a track car, but to stay relevant to the thread: My stock '86 at AutoX. I really need to fix that...

New fiberglas stuff?
Yeah, glass bumper cover and nose panel. There's new Mocal oil cooler under there someplace. Suppose to have a fiberglass hood coming. Last I heard, a Greyhound ran off with it. (Lost in transit) How do you loose a hood?
