You had me right up to the 28pin DME. Does this "chipboard" allow/convert my dme board? Mine is an 86/na with a 24pin DME. Do I need to find a newer DME? Please elaborate. I'm a bit confused now...or maybe I just need another coffee this morning.

Please work on one for the 16v S!! I've got a lot of mods on mine, headwork, bigger valves, cams etc. I'd love to see a 15hp or 20hp in gains.
I am curious though because this package comes with a chip and software. Are the gains due to the MAF alone or improved software? I already have a custom chip installed.

See here (for the 951, but same principle):

The gains are from the MAF and improved software. Additionally, to properly understand the MAF sensor, you will need my software. The AFM and MAF are fundamentally different sensors (volume vs mass), and have different flow vs voltage curves. This, among other things, needs to be dealt with by the software.
At WOT there is a good improvement, but the real strength is during normal driving - it feels so much stronger!

Ok, so the resonator came in today
It is a 4" round, 22" long body stainless steel magnaflow - it should mellow out the exhaust rasp and give it a really nice tone.
We will put it in tomorrow. Additionally, the K&N filter should be here tomorrow as well, so I will do some back-to-back testing to see if there is any quantifiable gains.
Friday, I will put on the offset camshaft key. I will test it both retarding the cam and advancing it. On a single-cam engine, changing the cam timing simply shifts the power: retarding the cam tends to make more power up in the higher RPMs, while advancing it makes more power down low...
If things go as planned, then I will see about another few dyno runs this weekend.
