If the car does not have a catalytic converter, then the HP/TQ numbers might be higher... but what really is significant is the percentage gain. I expect ROW cars to see a similar % gain as my NA.

Same goes with the 2.7L - I would expect to see just as good of gains.

I have a couple more performance mods I plan on doing with my NA... I will quantify the changes, and do another dyno session to show the final difference. One of those mods is removing the cat, and putting on a 951 "cat-back" exhaust. So, I will find out how much of a difference no-cat and better exhaust really make (I'm guessing a few HP in the upper RPMs).

Are you going to try out the late style headers as well? I hear these offer a small power gain over the old cast iron headers that you mentioned in your post on page 14.

I haven't seen anything that actually quantified the late headers vs early... though I haven't looked very hard. If there is a demand for headers/exhaust, we could use my NA as a template:

http://www.frontrangefabrication.com/

But for the moment, I don't have any exhaust plans besides what I already mentioned. The idea is to do 3-4 things that truly make a power difference in these NA cars, and that don't break the bank. The first mod, the N-Tune made a huge difference in both power and drivability. Other gains are going to be a bit more of a compromise: low-end vs high-end.
The end-goal for me is to make 140rwhp with just a few simple mods.

Are you going to just bash out the guts in the cat/install a test pipe, or use some sort of "high flow" cat?

I will remove it completely and I will put a resonator in-place of the cat.

So what in specific will i notice with the tune kit besides 10hp? Throttle response and stuff right? (I'm trying to plan a sales pitch to my parents and need it to sound convincing, not just telling them "oh it's 10hp")

Ha, well, the gains average typically 6-10% across the board, with a total average gain of 8%. And this is on a bone-stock car - a car that already has some breathing mods, such as exhaust or a more aggressive camshaft has the potential for even better gains.

What the dyno doesn't show is the non-wide-open-throttle situations, like normal daily-driving, there is much more power and torque which really improves normal driving.

Additionally, the MAF has room to grow with you - so if you wind up doing some more breathing mods, the MAF will see the increase in airflow and it will adjust fueling/timing appropriately.

Furthermore, the ignition timing has been changed to be true-3D tables. This will allow the DME to adjust for different weather & altitudes, and any other engine mods you do in the future.

Finally, it has the capability of working with my upcoming Tuning & Logging setup. So, if you want full near-standalone tune-ability without the hassle, this kit is the first step.

I can't wait to see what the results are with the exhaust. I plan to do something similar to the exhaust on my car, so it'll almost be like you're dynoing my car for me!

Sure. Here is the "no-smoothing" plot... Not really much different than the earlier dyno plot. It does show that the MAF is a little "smoother" than the AFM:

AFR reading was post-catalytic, so it is less confusing to just leave it off.
The AFR target is 12.8-13.0. But, even adjusting the AFRs 0.5 up or down had no practical affect on HP/TQ.

Do you have a update on the projected price tag? Going to Vegas next month, was going to do another Exotics Racing fling but might save my pennies to get in line for this sooner rather than later.
