Jim's Performance in Ellicott City, MD did my harness. He ran it through the 944 firewall boot, removed all unnecessary wires and connectors (emissions, etc.), and included a handful of spare wires in case I want to add something in the future. It was pretty much plug and play. I had to tie into a few spots in the fuse/relay box, but other than that, it was good to go. http://www.jimsperformance.com/harness.html

Thanks!

I figured out the alternator problem that day was caused by the harness wrapping I did the night before; somehow put too much strain on the field wire and broke the conductor inside.

Thats awsome Alan. Glad you're seeing the end of the summer long project. Will you be bringing it to mid ohio this month for the MORPCA de ? I hear it's filing up. I've not yet registered because I am waiting till after my nasa weekend on the 13-15th.

Can't wait to see this wicked ride !!

Is there an october fest down on the river front or any festivities that I can use as an excuse to come see you guys :P

Thanks, Tom. I'm hoping to get it on the track before this year is out. Probably won't be until October, though. We're doing a Chump Car race in September at Putnam with your old buddy, the Dragon.

Yeah, there is Oktoberfest Zinzinnati September 18-19 www.oktoberfestzinzinnati.com). If that's the excuse you need, then come on down.

Default 0-100 Run

http://www.vimeo.com/14339066

Here's a little video of 0-100, to give you some idea of the engine sound and acceleration of the thing. Sorry for the shakey video, I was holding the camera with one hand and shifting with the other. Looks like 0-60 in a little over 4 and 0-100 in a little over 10 seconds? Launch was pretty soft, and shifts were pretty slow, so I think those numbers could be improved upon.

I don't have the tach hooked up yet, but red line is about the same as the 951, so 2nd gear goes up to about 65 mph. After I get the tach hooked up, I'll take another video, only next time with the camera actually mounted to something.
