Pretty sure it's inconel (Incoloy 800). It can welded using a stainless rod IIRC. Ak951 on here would be able to tell you.

Seriously doubt it could be TIGed effectively since it is so thin and probably two layers (stressed). IF it is inconel and IF you can find someone to weld it then ERNiCrMo-3. With all that said it is up to the welder. You could tell the welder what to do, but the odds of them listening to your suggestions are slim to none. I would find a replacement or consider welding in a new flex joint instead.

Fueled up and took her through the paces on 32. A road that makes the dragon child's play. The pavement ends where the Appalachian trail crosses at the tn/nc border and then it's a few miles down to I-40.

This took me by surprise.....

Changed oil pressure sensor. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to pull the power steering pump, but a 6" crescent wrench gave me just enough clearance behind the pump to get the job done.

Our three weeks of winter is over here in northern Arizona, was able to pull the 944 Spec suspension out of my '88 924S, and put it in my new track car, the 1983 944. Ugh, I'm too old to be doing this, took five days.

And after, parts are in, clean-up to follow.

Not today but last week, I replaced the Clutch master and slave cylinder, added the side graphics, and took it out for a test drive in the evening.

Cheers

Engelbert, what type of headlight system do you have installed in your car?
Illumination pattern is definitely not stock!

They light fantastic, not in love of how they look though. Might order a set in the future though.
