Those are some hot plugs
Looking at them there seem to be bits of piston stuck to them...those silver bits are aluminium that was flown because of detatonation.
Also the ground strap seems blasted all the way which is not ideal me thinks.
Perhaps colder plugs is a better idea?

Here are some 924 turbo plugs for a comparisson.
Also with detonation marks, but much finer aluminium bits. This is a 1.1bar ran 924 turbo engine.

92 model so stock Bosch heat number is 7. (NGK and Bosch heat range numbers are inverted.)

The car is driven hard at altitude (5000-6000') and approaching 100k....the O2 sensor might be getting lazy. I will see if I can peek inside the motronic for a knock count.

uber cool wheels ! You could lay it lower a bit with some purposefull camber settings and it would look sooo much more poised.

Replaced my four rubber exhaust hangers.

I wonder how long until they would have given up.

Old left, new right.

I bet the exhaust is up much tighter to the car now.

Joel! It's Connor with the grey S2 from autocross. Great getting to meet you last time we were out.

My 944 has tasted defeated Boxster, I'm coming for your Spyder next weekend.. Unless of course you plan on joining the club

I previously spoke with the owner of that red 951, nice guy, nice car. I'd do it if I had the room & time for another. Make sure to check the oil pan and underneath the engine. Big job if it's leaky. Clutch too.

Ha! I'm kind of getting that here! It's a great beautiful P-car for not much money.

Hey Connor! Great to hear from you. Coming for the Spyder? NEVER Rickey-Boobie! But I think I'l bring my son and the 2010 Golf next time. He's just learning to drive and what a great experience!

The 951 looks very very clean. Matt (owner) is a mechanic at Jacob's and I believe has things pretty much under control with this car. I'll have to do like you say - get it up on the hoist and have a look-see. Thanks for the advice. I don't know a lot about this car but I love it so far. I'd be driving it between Vancouver and Seattle, longer haul stuff. Any brand of fire extinguisher you recommend?

Ugh.... Discovered that my hatch has delaminated at the top.

I've been adjusting the hinges and latches over the past month trying to get it to latch perfectly (and hold), so I guess all the constant opening and closing and occasional hard closing took it's toll.

Time to scour the forum for solutions.

Haha well I look forward to it. It's great fun & I know he'll enjoy it. I'm sure he'll probably end up showing me his taillights!

Yeah I got that impression too. Seems like it's looked after quite well. It'll be a totally different animal to what you currently drive but I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot. I didn't start out that well informed either but be warned, give it time and the 944 bug bites hard! I've done a several 8-9 hour drives in my S2 in the last year & a half and its been flawless. I think it does quite well long distance. Love it to bits. 928 probably even better at that sort of thing but that's another story.

And about the clutch comment, I apologize, I also meant to say make sure he's replaced it recently as the labour for a shop to do it will be pretty big unless you're one of us knuckle bleeders

I find the best fire extinguisher is one that works! But I'd reserve it for your hideous 993

Best of luck with the purchase! If you need a hand with anything or have any questions, need freaky tools etc I'm always here. I'm sure you know already but Rich has owned his fair share of 944's and a 968 so he's definitely worth a call too.

Nothing really on the 924s but for the 924s.
I'm building a garage. Doing a fully mountable metal structure. Quite a loss of money as i could have just welded it but its fun to play engineer
Digging for water, sewer connection and 3 pahse electricity have begun so 931 is sleeping outside for a couple of days.

plasma cut interface plates, 15mm thick steel with 6 M12 bolts.
