advanced cam gear 2 degrees for the purpose of doing dyno testing comparable to my last test with Rogue Tune + 2 degrees.
found an oil leak, looks like the front cam seal...will get to that.

I helped my dad change the transaxle oil in his 986 yesterday, definitely made me appreciate the simplicity of my 944! With all of the removing braces and covers and such, it took us close to 3 hours to drain and fill the transaxle and get the car buttoned back up. O_o

Stretched new black shifter cover over an OEM **** late last night, after much work getting everything to tuck in under the shift pattern disc. Installed the new boot today.
Also recharged the AC with a can of 134A.
Minor glass hatch repair with some sealant at the top of the passenger side of the glass.
Fixed a rattle-y center horn pad by tightening the brass bolts - and my horn started working properly as well! Two birds, same stone!
She's going to get a good bath and vacuum tomorrow.

DProd engine finally in situ.
Readers digest of this build: 2.1 Liter long-rod high compression stroker. Stroke increased by 3mm (via offset grinding the rod journals), rod length increased by 6mm, compression ratio set to 11.0:1, all using readily available, affordable off-the-shelf components. Saves over $1000 when compared with my custom 2.2L stroker setup where everything was custom. Big valve 931 head (44mm intake, 37mm exhaust), lightweight solid lifters, Integral Stage 1 (with a Stage 3 in reserve if I ever want to do a big track). Dual Weber DCOE45 carbs, MSDS 4-2-1 ceramic coated exhaust header, cat delete, custom stainless cat-back exhaust. Coil overs on all four corners for easily adjustable ride height. Will eventually replace stock ignition with MegaJoltLiteJr EDIS wasted spark programmable ignition.

Over the three day weekend I did my first autocross. Quite fun and frustrating at the same time. Learning the course took four DNF's to figure it out. Only went one day and it was cut short after a vette spun out and crashed into a jersey barrier. Driver Ok, car needs some help..
Managed to get my hands on a few cans of R12 and charged the system. Was not working but still had pressure. Took one can to get it blowing cold again. Been a long time since I've been in a car that still uses R12. Amazing how much colder it is than a newer vehicle with R134a.
Temped to take a stab at the Cruse control module. Supposed to be really hot this weekend. Might be a good weekend to sit in the basement with a soldering iron and a cold beer.
