I looked at mine, half-disassembled, as I walked past it to climb into my DD to head to work, but that's about it. I've pretty much given up on any chance of being able to drive it to the PCA meet this Sunday.
Me too! Nice day, so I started it up, and took it for a half hour drive..lots of old iron coming out of storage, I saw several other guys getting out of hibernation this afternoon as well. Felt good.
Tried to get mine out of storage (enclosed trailer behind the house) but it was too wet/muddy the truck couldn't pull the trailer out. Time for a bigger truck.
That's a great idea, any chance the head unit is an Alpine INA-W900BT?
I'm looking to purchase a new system myself and would like to know what out there fits.
Regards,
Yes it is. It took a lot to get it fitted though and I'm sure many places wouldn't be able to fit it. Most of the double dins I had seen fitted have a notch at the back, that makes fitting easy. The Alpine fitting is not a job for a chain store installers. A specialist should be fine. The problem is cables out the back of unit. It can be done but their is some technique involved getting it in and it ends up a few mm shy of flush. If you get it and are fitting it yourself let me know and I can explain in more detail
