if you were to take off that cone and elbow would the hood shut and clear the TB? i know the hood has a big upwards curve in the middle at the front edge because the cam gear housing and distributor on the 2.5 stick out considerably above the fender line.

haven't tried it, but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't...most people drop the crossmember about an inch and that gives them just enough room for the throttle body to clear the hood...i have a feeling my intake is an aftermarket piece (it's a fully ported dual 58mm intake manifold) and that it is a little taller than the stock intake, which gives it that little bit extra at the back, and a bunch extra at the front...i'll play around with it tomorrow maybe
