Just read a thread on here saying that they have been discontinued due to many owners not taking the time for a proper install and then blaming the product. I'll see if I can locate that thread....

I thought same as above. I certainly understand Travis's thinking though. I believe some other members have had success with similar products though. Maybe some of them can chime in with product info and some final installation updates. This is something I'd like to do this month as well.

Cheers, Josh

re-upholstering seats ain't really DIY friendly...I leave jobs like that to the skilled guys who make their living at it.

"its a poor carpenter that blames his tools"

or something like that.

anything I've bought from Rennbay has been A1 quality.

These are my vinyl covers I got from inland imports...I've just finished and installed them a few weeks back...I'm very happy with them

I'm sure it's something I could do myself.

I helped SidViscous rebuild the interior of his '44 and the seats (Rennbay kits) turned out very nice.

I think you just need to take your time to do it right.

Travis, you don't have any leftovers?

Any contact or purchase info on the inland imports covers? I found some reference to a "cypok" company on ebay. Are all these kits basically the same thing? Dare I ask if these are basically the same as what Travis sold? I hope they aren't a lot worse or I'm really going to beat myself up for not jumping at the chance a year ago.

Cheers, Josh

Nope.. sorry. I don't have the time or money to help with the seat kits any longer. On two occasions I paid over $300 back to customers to have a shop "modify and install" our kits. Three other occasions I had customers send me their failed install projects that I then reinstalled correctly and shipped back.

If I sold them they would have to be as is with no support at all and that is a business practice that I do not want to take up at this time.
