Default plyhammer has been banned

Plyhammer has asked that I post a one time post for him

He has been banned for using this forum to sell parts for profit and would like to apologize to the adminstrators and owner of the site. Admin. if you could please email him at plyhammer@hotmail.com he would like to know the price of becoming a sponsor so that he may sign up at the end of his suspension and to those of you whom need to speak to him please feel free to email him at the same address. At this time he will not be selling parts from this forum and again would like to apologize for his indescretions.

Please do not respond to this post either for or against the ban and just accept it as an apology. Thanks

OMG. I'm having a hard time believing this is actually happening...

So, people can't part out cars on Rennlist anymore? Are paying members supposed to go to eBay now for decent prices on used parts?

When you don't know why it's happening, it's because of the money!

Money seems to be the bain of everything nowadays...Honestly I don't even feel like selling anything else here for fear of being accused of using Rennlist and getting banned (Thus wasting the $18 I pay yearly in order to have the "benefits" of a "paying" member). I've bought parts from Rennlisters, some of which have been banned due to their efforts in making a little space in their garages. I'll always come here for technical advise, but think twice before selling anything I don't need again. Shame...

it seems like there isnt a problem with selling parts, so long as you dont try to make a business out of it.

we all know plyhammer and lart part lots of cars and were very grateful for their work. John D probably just wants the guys that are making serious $ to pay a little more.

all of my parts FS threads were deleted this morning. I would like to think that i spend enough time on here trying to help people out and hook people up w/ deals on parts i have laying around AFTER i parted a car for another RENNLIST member that i would be able to make a list of them and offer them to members here on rennlist. I have never linked to ebay auctions etc for stuff i was selling. Maybe i wont be renewing my membership as well.

Thumbs down

This is just absurd!

How about raise the membership fee and people can continue to sell parts like they've done since these fora began?

If each member pays $20 instead of $18 it should cover lost sponsorships from kids parting out cars in their garages.

Looks like ebay is the ticket. I dont parts cars, never have, but I have a bunch off stuff I need to get rid of.
I just started posting some of my other parts on ebay (in fear of being banned by the XXXX'X).

I think this is a wrong turn for this board but, its not mine, I will just try to abide by the rules.

If I need parts this was my first resource, now I spend less time here and more time browsing "everywhere else".

I probably will not be renewing my membership. I will just come here to get the relevent information I need as a non-member.

Unfortunately, most people are right...this forum is beginning to go south...Why all of the sudden has so much attention been brought up about selling? It didn't seem to be much of an issue a few months ago. Do they feel people need to be made into examples or something?

BTW Dan, yes you do spend I don't know how long on here helping all of us out with tech issues, or giving us tips with body work, or countless other bits of info you have locked in your head. Thanks for hooking me up with that J-boot when you did. That's what it's about, helping others, the little extra money was just a bonus.

RULES say that if you are a PAID member you can post for sale and its suggested that you give members first dibs or give them good pricing. Ive been selling/buying on here for a long time- four years or more- and have had no problems until now. Ive handed out JOIN US AT RENNLIST cards to people in the area, put rennlist stickers on my car/truck and even had a rennlist license plate for awhile which is now up in the TAJ museum in dayton. I donated parts to the rennwish car, bought a WOR caladar, sent people parts before they were paid (rennlist members), put a couple articles about rennlist in our local pca magazine as well as dropped the name in my other pca articles every chance i get. If that is not enough to justify my posting some junk parts for sale on here, maybe i'll turn my support over to pelicanparts.com which i really dont care much for.

Most people who part cars are not trying to make a business out of it, most buy the car for parts for their cars, and sell what they don't need.

You think there is "serious" money in parting a car?
