Both can be great track cars.

951 are more common on the track, 928 are more rare. Which car will be faster is dependant on the mods done. Either car can be very very fast, but that takes alot of money.

951's are probably easier to find and buy. With 928 you will need to sift through all the auto cars. I think in stock or near stock form the 951 will be more rewarding since it is lighter. If you start to strip it then the 928's performance will improve.

Not that I have a dog in the fight because I like both cars, but I have to say that I routinely would pack all four wheels, my tools, jack, cooler, blanket, etc in the back of my 944, WITH the roll bar and would still have room for my sig-other to ride in the passenger seat.

Really your matter of preference.
The last 5-10 posts I've read from you are purely speculation you've come to from reading or assuming. Please stop.

I've corrected you on the 928 motor in the 944 chassis 3 times in the past week alone.

As per the discussion, 944 Turbo hands down. (Just because I'm biased, they are really both fun track cars) But dont look for my topic in the Abyss on this.

Mark, you can get 305's under a stock bodied 944 with 20 minutes with a grinder.

I just don't like the way the 928s look. They kinda look like an ugly spaceship. Just a personal pref there. I think the 944 is one of the best looking cars ever made.

I do think the interior of the 928 is cool though. It does look like a space ship.

Back on topic there is a initial weight advantage with a 951 over the 928. But the 928 does have the V8 and you could make more hp with enough money since you have twice the cylinders.

It also seems like you can find a better shape 951 than a 928. What's your budget and what kind of racing are wanting to do?

Remember, "anything is possible with enough money."
