If there was some way for me to do part of the drive, I would, but the way the roads are you unless I were to go in and then turn around (which wouldn't be very far because of the run starting in san jose) you have to drive the entire distance, which I wouldn't be able to do before I have to be a work.

If I can make it time-wise, I might stop-by at your meeting point before you leave. I doubt you'd want a fat and lazy 928 trailing you on the actual drive, but I'll bring some samples of the clear 944 and 951 lenses I had made for you guys...

Bill, unfortunately I can't think of a compromise route for you - we're pretty much going to drive where there are only backroads. I'm sorry you can't make it, but hopefully I'll see you at the next run (north bay I think).

Arash, my car smelled like burnt rubber last night and for a fleeting moment this evening. I'm hoping it has nothing to do with the clutch and has only to do with the fact that I skidded for half a city block but I'm hoping my car will hold up for the run. I'm going no matter what!

It sounds like the majority of the cars on the run are going to be n/a's, so I doubt you'd have a hard time keeping up.

My ankle is giving me problems. But I'm tired of sitting on the couch so I'm going to give it a try. If it hurts too much, I'll just turn around. If you don't see me but 2:20, drive safe. Those roads are tricky. I know the last stint over to Tracy pretty well. The 15mph signs should be heeded.

Now I need to go find some 100 octane...
