Definitely make it in the afternoon, I have to work that day but its only until 12:00, if I leave right after work, I can get to Castro Valley or wherever we're meeting up by 1:00.

OK, here's the compromise. The run will start at 2:20pm sharp in San Jose, at the corner of Alum Rock Ave and N White Rd (there's a big parking lot). If for some reason that lot is closed that day, go to the back-up meeting spot: from the first spot, head west on Alum Rock until the first gas station.

Then from there we conquer Mt. Hamilton, then continue to Mines rd, take backroads through altamont pass, and end in Tracy for a BBQ. If Roger wimps out on the BBQ there are lots of restaurants in Tracy like Chili's, Chevy's, etc. I'll have backup plans, but Roger won't let us down!

For those who want to start earlier (like me), you can do the section of last year's run excluded this time. From 580 take Palomares rd to 84E to Calaveras rd to Felter rd to Sierra rd to Piedmont rd to N White rd. Give yourself a good hour to do that, not including stops or traffic.

2:20pm at Alum Rock and N White in San Jose. Bring a FULL TANK of gas, check your tire pressures and correct them accordingly, bring water, and bring a 2-way radio (walkie-talkie) if you have one. We are LEAVING at 2:20 so if you get there late, just start driving and you'll catch us at one of our break stops. We will always stop somewhere near the road.

Good compromise. Even with the delayed start time I cant get to San Jose by the start time so I will have to meet up with you guys somewhere else. Right now I'm thinking to come up Mt. Hamilton the back way and eventually I should run into you guys.......well not literally I hope...........

2:20 in San Jose?? Oh, I have two hours to get there.. Never mind!

Btw, if anyone needs them, I have about 6 or 7 government surplus two way radios I can bring.

LOL I forgot you're into radios!

Roger, do you need an extra 10 minutes, an hour? For you, the fastest way to the BACK of mt Hamilton would be taking 5 (south), but we may be gone by the time you reach. The safe bet would be to just take Mines rd all the way down until you see us... that'll be a bit of a drive, eh?

We on for friday? I need to finish your car.

Roll call added to first post.

This is the first time for me coaching in this new league so I dont knwo how organized they are with things. I wont know what time I can leave until that day. I was thinking of just giving you a call when I am ready to leave to see where your at and then decide from there. Of course if you are out of reception range then I wont know and will just have to guess. If the 951 is running (dam I hope it is) then that will be the first day of driving in a long time so I will be a little nervous about pushing hard (I'll have to keep the boost down too.......something that keeps me below 400rwhp I suppose ) so I may have to do the route backwards and turn around when I meet up with you all.

I highly doubt I'll have my car finished in time for this (especially since I'm stuck working all day friday). I also have work at 6 saturday night - how long do you think the entire run lasts Arash? I think I could make it to livermore by 5:30 I'd be fine for getting to work.

Then there is the issue of cars. Preferably I'd like to get a ride with someone, but who will be driving by the livermore/dublin/pleasanton area on their way to SJ that would be able to give me a ride? Roger? Juan? Will Arash/your brother be driving through that area on your way to the first part of the run? I might be able to get the bmw, but I highly doubt it since it will be a rather long drive.

plus the start time is out there for me.

plus state fair takes precedence over watching roger's mirrors fall off from the heat.

Bah. You're such a loser. Thats the first time I've ever heard of anyone bailing out on a fun drive with a bunch of cars because they want to sit around playing video games all day.
