Oshkosh......you got to remember I have been out of high school for a looong time now.......the chicken thing just isnt going to work.

You guys can make it a late afternoon run with dinner at my place and I could probably make that. Would maybe need to shorten the route. But dont change anything just cause of me.

lol

Well what's going on now? I gotta see if I need to change the route and ending spot. I don't want to change the time of day - fun runs gotta be early, or else one gets too relaxed and lazy. Plus I don't want to end up on Mines road when it gets dark. I almost killed Bambi and his mom last time at night.

Well maybe I can meet you all at the end for pizza or whatever you guys decide on. Then go on my own run afterward.

Remember that it still isn't getting dark till like 8:30 these days, so we could still leave by 2ish and be fine.

Roger, I was thinking that we could possibly postpone this drive by one day to accomodate you (and give some other people another day to finish things up). I was going to run it by Arash, but before I got the chance to I talked to my Subaru friends and found out they are doing a similar drive (the first half anyway) up to Mt Hamilton on the 26th. So basically the 25th is the best bet to avoid the Subaru gtg on Sunday, and to avoid pushing this gtg further into the future which would make this run closer to Steve's/Brad's next north bay run.

Oh yeah, and my car runs/drives now

Your car run, and drives, but it won't shift. Better get that fixed mah brathah.

No the run stays on 8/25. And I'd rather keep it earlier rather than later. I'm going to that area tomorrow or monday for work, so I'll try to scout the route and make final plans. So far the tentative plan is to meet in castro valley, take calaveras road to san jose, then take mt hamilton road to mines road to livermore. The contingency plan is to start in livermore, take mines road south to del puerto canyon rd to i-5 to this one road I tried once but forgot the name of. End will be near livermore again.

My mom is on the fence with her 968. Dad will definitely NOT put mileage on his 993 because it is for sale now.

And any idea what you guys will be doing afterwards? I can't join in the morning, but if there is a get-together in the afternoon, I'll be sure to drop by.

Your dad is selling the 993 already? How many months has he had it? 4?

Now it shifts, but the throwout bearing chatters like CRAZY. I'll still probably drive it out but now this is a definite reason for me to stick towards the back of the pack. I wanted to do that anyway, but now it's a done deal. Car runs great, sounds great, and drives great. I just need to tend to some minor details (fluid flush, wiring issue) and i'll be ready for Saturday.

He loves the 993 cars and has become a big 911 fan. He's only selling his 993 because he wants a 6-speed (his is a tiptronic) and a coupe (his is a cabriolet). He complains of the low top-speed, and the large amounts of noise coming through the rag top at high speed.

Joe, what time will you be available? Because Roger also is busy in the morning. Maybe we should make it an afternoon run after all. So far the plan is to end in Livermore for lunch, and I'm going to go hunting for a place tomorrow.
