Default Weekend adventure - bought 88 951 S with 12k on it

I picked up a 1988 951 S with only 11,844 on the odometer over the weekend up in Cincinnati. The previous owner had it up for sale over on the Pelican board in early June and then it was wrecked soon after. He then offered it for parts or repair and I worked out a deal with him. My dad and I went up and picked it up and everything went pretty smoothly. Well - except for the F350 we were in complaining with the temp guage about the mountains

Albert (Aribop) and I are going to pull this car apart starting this coming weekend. Anyone is welcome to join up and check out the car. I'd love to keep it but the damage is pretty bad. You can tell when you open the driver's door that the shockwave had reached back that far. Just about all the parts on the car are available except for the suspension and the brakes Albert might have a couple parts tagged as well. I'll gladly consider offers on the whole car if someone insists but I can tell you that economics probably won't work....Pretty sad end to an incredible car.

It has of course the 18" Turbo wheels - I will have the passenger front checked for true-ness and buffed out. Fabspeed exhaust with a straight pipe. Genuine GT3 seats with sliders. limited slip trans with cooler. Autothority Chips. There are a couple other goodies as well plus the 10 speaker stereo system and the perfect dash and interior. I've got the original exhaust in perfect condition as well. Engine will be sold as a whole and has had the timing belt done and water pump etc.

Josh, I have been drooling over that car since it was on e-bay 2 years ago. YOU HAVE TO FIX IT!!!!!!!! That thing is way to nice to part. But if you do, can I have the turbo???? I could always use more power.

Please save that beauty. It is realy nice.

Yeah that thing is too nice to part out. If the body was beyond repair I would find another 944 body to transfer everything from the wrecked car into.

Someone please buy the whole car and repair it. I think I am going to be sick.

I jizzed on the keyboard when I saw the first few pics.......

But yeah - I am going to do what I always do and bang the "don't part it" drum. Get a nice tub and swap over the parts - I would help you in a heartbeat if I were closer. That car is waaaaay too nice to write-off, fix it or the Porsche gods will smite thee........
