You can glimpse a few seconds of my old car here between 6:07 and 6:11

Also it's prominent on the main pic shown.

John Dixon's unraced Turbo Cup car sold hammered for $87,500. With 12% buyer premium, buyer paid $98,000.

After seller's 10% fee, they got $78,750.

Thanks Paul!

Very nice Cup car and to me still undervalued compared to other Porsches

Default Purchased “un-raced” Rothmans car from RM auction

Early 944 Turbo Cup car. If anyone has any info or history please reply. Thank you so much.

Just a quick comment to say hello.

I was the lucky phone bidder for the Rothman Cup car in the Taj Ma Garage sale a few weeks ago.

WP0AA0958JN165069

finally saw the car in person last week and it’s fantastic.
putting the stock exhaust back on since the after market one said to have been used in the series sounded like a tractor.

I’ll be running the car, along with my 924 GTS Club Sport and an early ‘85 944 Turbo Cup car at the Daytona Classic 25 next month. That’s 12 cylinders of water cooler Porsche goodness. If you’re there please come say hello.

cheers!

Nebraska,
Dumb question - what does it say above the Heuer decal on the rear of the Escort car? I'm working on decals for my Firehawk car, haven't been able to figure it out. It doesn't say "Chronograph", I think it says "Sports <something> & timing" or something like that.
Anyone else know?

It's not an '87 Cup Car, but it's an '88 that just popped up on BaT.

I Recently bought Car #107 this is one of the 2 cars that went to Canada in 1987 for the 24 hour Endurance Race at Mosport. Came in 5th in race behind 4 Corvettes. Drivers Bill Adam, Scott Goodyear and Richard Spenard. This is NOT a Rothmans Turbo Cup but one of the 11 Escort 944 Turbo Cup Cars and one of the 2 that went to Canada. I am in NY.

Default Turbo Cup

I know this thread is a bit old...but does anyone have a line on a really good 944 Turbo Cup? Could be Escort, Rothman, or European. Thanks!

This looks like a Turbo Cup seat for sale on ebay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/225458577121

Looks like the old photo of my seat here.

@centerpunch looks like your old car is going up for auction in December.
