Hi.

In the dokumentation (fax correspondence with Weissach) I have with my - 89 Cup, the cars were delivered with 3 different exhausts.
1: Stock 951
2: Stock cat, small resonator at junction on rear section with no muffler at the back just a pipe. (This was on the car when I bought it)
3: NO cat, same resonator as 2 and no rear muffler. This the factory refers to as "Lemans system"

Just some info:
The "World final" was held at Lemans in - 89 prior to the 24H race were I guess exhaust 3 was allowed. At this race the best drivers from the different series around the World got to race each other.
Winner was Swedens Anders Olofsson whom later became a factory Ferrari driver and 24H Lemans winner.
When I talked to the driver of my car (Joakim Birgerson) who also was in that race he said it was a spectacular race. 50 cars, everybody slipstreaming each other on the Mulsanne strait and 5 cars beside one and other under braking!
He also mentioned that he almost went off the road during training on the Mulsanne from being so surprised by the Group C cars passing him at about 400km/h when he was on the limiter in 5th!

This sure looks like the ABS switch in my old car. See pic in post 221.

(However, the real switch is not momentary operation.)

Seems Porsche used different switches for the ABS. This is the switch in my - 89. I have only seen this version on euro Cup cars. The original dymo label is missing in my car. Should look like in Pauls old car.

Here's another similar switch on ebay. Maybe this one is the correct non-momentary type.

PF, can you point us to a wiring diagram that's used to disable ABS with this switch?

I've been considering this mod for awhile, I think it's the best solution I've seen.

Curious if you had to add or remove coding plugs in the engine harness when you went from cat to no cat, and/or if a closed loop O2 sensor was activate/deactivated with those cat options?

PF Is that switch working the same way as window switch (momentary up or down) or is it a on/off type switch with just window arrow graphic?

Also can you please take a detailed photo of the way the pull cable is attached and how holes are cut inside of cubby.

When I bought the car it just hade the one with cat and no muffler in the back. The others did t Come with the car and I have not benen able to locate them. I saw 1 "lemans" exhausts on Ebay awhile back but it sold quickly and was expensive. There is no info about if you had to make any changes between exhausts in the dokumentation I have.

The switch is momentary as window switch.

I have the car in another garage so I will see if I remember next time but it is a small bracket that holds the pull cable and they just made a long cut in the "cubby"

The small plate covering the cut in the partsbin Porsche made for the bracket is not stock, that I made.
