One less 944 rolling the streets...Now with pics
I think my alpine white '84 944 was totalled today. My dad parked it on the street outside of his office because they were re-surfacing the parking lot and someone rear-ended it...hard. Apparently there was a bee in their car and they were not paying attention to the road. My 944 was killed by a bee.
I don't have pictures yet since my dad did not have his camera with him. I'm pretty depressed about it. It was my first car, and the car in which I took my wife to our senior prom. Some might say it was just a 944, but it had value to me.
His name was Hans. Here is what he looked like:

Ack! Im sorry to hear that man, that was a really pretty car...definately one of the nicer n/a's that Ive seen. And it was his first P-car. not cool at all...

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I'll keep the post updated as news comes in. My dad is pretty sure it is a goner. He's already thinking about parting it out, but I'm not mentally there yet.

I believe theres a law that says you can demand the insurance company of the party at fault repair the car in lieu of totalling it, even if the repair bill exceeds the cash value. You might want to check into that.
