Angry One less 944 rolling the streets...Now with pics

I think my alpine white '84 944 was totalled today. My dad parked it on the street outside of his office because they were re-surfacing the parking lot and someone rear-ended it...hard. Apparently there was a bee in their car and they were not paying attention to the road. My 944 was killed by a bee.

I don't have pictures yet since my dad did not have his camera with him. I'm pretty depressed about it. It was my first car, and the car in which I took my wife to our senior prom. Some might say it was just a 944, but it had value to me.

His name was Hans. Here is what he looked like:

And next to my 951:

It's not a good day.

That's a bitch...hopefully something can be saved or repaired...I know that bee thing, almost did it myself once but it was an angry wasp!

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I'll keep the post updated as news comes in. My dad is pretty sure it is a goner. He's already thinking about parting it out, but I'm not mentally there yet.

Let it live on through others. . . (hint, hint. . .)

Sorry for your loss though - that totally sucks.

I understand what it means when a car has sentimental value (cue story of grandpas 1965 buick wildcat). I am truely sorry about your loss.

I believe theres a law that says you can demand the insurance company of the party at fault repair the car in lieu of totalling it, even if the repair bill exceeds the cash value. You might want to check into that.
