If this doesnt work out I am just buying a set from GT Racing and modifying them to fit my lights.
Its an avenue for people who hate fixed lights but need the space. Would take some R&D tho for sure.

My Supra had individual motors for each headlight. Each one was about the size of two decks of cards. Both motors combined still weighs less than 1/3rd teh weight of the 951 system with is huge motor and cross-bar.

Matt,
I did get the headlights today. Alot bigger than I thought. Mike is re-working the design in solid works, hopefully i'll have more tomorrow.

Glad to hear. 90mm is a lot bigger than people think, to fit two sets in a light is going to be tough.

Yes, We've fabriacted one from a stock pop up cover but we don't think it will fit. With a little enjinuity we'll "bubble" it so it clears the lights.

I like the bubble idea. Raising the lights just a little bit would help with lightout put I imagine, as well as giving you a lot more flexabilty in lens selection. Would also look pretty cool IMHO.

Carl,
We are going to make ours out of very thin steel. As thin as body metal. I wanted to make them out of aluminum, however, we have no way of welding aluminum.

Looks like a grand idea to me. On a 951 I owned a few yrs ago the headlights started going up and down repeatedly whenever I turned the lights on. I drove with the fogs only for a few days, then the problem went away. I remember thinking that fixed headlights would sure be nice, at the time.

Hate the bubble concept but I suppose I could live with it if I had to.
