90psi... Could be a head gasket issue still. I would be doing a leakdown test. Those numbers are cause for checking into it deeper.
How did the cylinders look when you had the head off?

Did you have the head and block checked for warpage when you did the head gasket?

When we did the headgasket, cylinder 4 had 155 PSI, and all the cylinders looked good

Would leaving the spark plugs to the other 3 cylinders out, and not opening the thottle all the way cause this castostrophic number

"No, it shouldn't" to the first question; "possibly" to the second. If you have doubts about the compression test, redo it until you're sure, but it sounds like you're on the right track now

Didn't someone else here get a bad compression test number, then re-tested and got a good number.

Rock, how many times did you do the compression test on #4? Does anyone here think he should do it again before starting the tear down?

yeah, do it again, and if your not sure you did it right, just get someone who knows how to do it to help you. It is MAJORLY important that you get some compression numbers before the teardown!

A leak down test is more informative. You might be able to rent one at Auto-Zone (or equivalent) but you'll still need compressed air to do a leak down test.

Sorry to be quite late on this... OK, last summer I did the headgasket due to a burnt #1 exhaust valve causing his misfire and 45psi compression on #1. Did that, all went well. Here about a week or so ago, Rock wanted to fix a horrible oil leak from near the oil filler-separator. I told him to get the O-rings. He got the O-rings and when I dug into it I found the oil filler-separator to be cracked from top to bottom, also had a heater hose(non- oil resistant) from the separator to the J-pipe. Also, he had a bad fuel(rich) problem. We swapped the injectors and put new O-rings on them too. The fuel issue was bad enough to cause a missfire at idle and had (by my guess) about 1-2 quarts of fuel in the oil when we changed it apon me finding the fuel problem. My guess right now is #4 washed and is down on compression due to that. I'm thinking that the oil in the airbox is due to the blowby. I know some was in there from the oil separator tho, how much I'm not sure. I know when Rock pulled the airbox on the oil filler job, oil was running out of the airbox. It got late and I forgot to clean it out. I'm not sure how much was from the separator and how much is from the ring? I say clean it out and do some test running to see if it comes back. I hope Rock just botched the compression test and all is good. Not looking too good right now tho.

dunno about you guys but I'm willing ot help this poor guy out here too with a teardown and fly out there as soon as I get a month off from class in June. Rock did you do a 3rd test? I'd definitely go with a leakdown. I'm still betting a head gasket too along with the oil separator.
