Great thread. Threads like this keep me inspired to work on the car over the winter.
I like the cars that have had a personal touch added to them. While stock, unmolested cars like Cory's are a thing of beauty to behold, I am a tinkerer at heart.
Pete's car get's my vote for "most improved" (His "before" shots really don't reveal what the car looked like after he got back from picking it up in Colorado).
My car is constantly evolving, I doubt it will ever be "finished", there is always something to do.

I really like those dark (gunmetal?) wheels, If I do my rims on my Glacier Girl I'm going to give a hard look at something similar.
yes that's true, I never seen a 944 that looks nearly the same as mine.
I repainted the wheels with a titanium gray color, which probably is the same as gunmetal.

EDIT: Here you go... Kinda messy, it's not freshly waxed/vacuumed.

Oh yeah, Pete, you might have to send me the info on the paint and technique you used for your engine! Im still half and half on doing it this winter, but that was almost identical to what i was thinking of doing! I was thinking a lighter silver to match the intake though, and some blue close enough to my body. How did you do the screw heads?

Tony, I stripped the old paint off the valve cover with some nasty stuff from Lowe's. The silver paint was a high heat engine paint by Duplicolor I think. I did the lettering with a brush. I sprayed the bolt heads with the blue and the bolt washers with black.
It came out ok but I'm going to redo it this winter along with the intake, afm, and some of the other parts.

HAHA, im the 4th owner! It was almost a daily driver for the first two owners as well! I have NO CLUE how it stayed in such condition. The third owner stored it, and then ive gone to work with q-tips over every possible inch!
