Porsche Genesis: My dad used to race European Sports cars and worked on 914/911's when they were new in the '70s. He doesn't have any sports cars left (sold his 68 GT6 along time ago) but he does have a 1969 Z28 Camaro.

Rennlist: Saw it on a plate frame on one of the pics the PO gave me of the car. Thanks Abby!

88 944 NA, mild mods......hmmmm....hmmmmm

I am currently working as an engineering consultant for the Govt, and having fun making a difference for a change

Hobbies include long walks on the beach... dammit....wrong board... um who owns a 20 year old Porsche, drives said Porsche almost 1000 miles per week, and has time for anything but making said Porsche run like it was brand new??? I DO... my other hobbies are making my 8 year old Audi just as mind numbingly fast as possible, and making my way overpowered boat even faster (will lift the entire hull out around 60 at half throttle, have not gone over 60 since...scary, very scary).. and making my Durango RT (yes the one with the 360, not the one with the HEMI) run like a bat out of hell... If it goes fast I am always sure I can make it faster, but the Porsche is my favorite of them all, it plane scares me to go over 140 in a car that old....but it is still fun...

Porsche Genesis: Wife saw one on C-List, and told me I could have one, she was drunk and I was a Porsche owner before she sobered up...but not the one on CL, it is still there 9 months later, I gots me on off fleabay, and have been wrenching on it since.

I was referred to Rennlist by a coworker who once upon a time had a 928, and envies my 944 every day...

Porsche genesis: my mom bought my dad a body damaged 944 in a junkyard in 1993 with 60 thousand original miles, and he fixed the front fender with bondo and some elbow grease because he is a "retired" mechanic. drove it for the first time when i was 17, and fell in love instantly. had the best of times and worst of times in that car. no it has 80 original miles

how i found out about rennlist: physical therapist recommended me to site after talking cars and Porsche came up

I found rennlist when I was searching around for tech answers on my 944, which was pretty much bought on a whim. When I was 15, I got a 69 VW beetle that was lightly modified for track use. I ended up buying a junk 74 911 a couple years later. Neither car lasted long, and once I moved out of Mom's house, it was a LONG TIME before I had a garage again, so I bough boring, reliable cars for a while. Now space isn't a problem.

Well...it's getting to be. Because the other hobbies include fishing, and I have an 18' boat sitting in my garage. Hey...anyone want to buy a fishing boat? Or trade me for a 14' jon-boat? This this is TOO BIG FOR MY PART OF THE DELAWARE!

Non Porsche Hobbies: I'm an iRacer (see www.iracing.com), I play guitar and thanks to 2 small boys I'm starting to play with model rockets, slot cars and Hot Wheels again

Porsche Genesis: First exposeure was Risky Business.. 928's were out of my price range when I bought my first 944 in 1996.. I sold that one in 99 to buy my wifes wedding ring. Then in 2002 I bought a very early 83 944 that was nice but had too many little quirks and now, just this month I bought a very clean 84 944 that's a 1 owner with 101K. So far so good with this one.

How I heard about Rennlist: Doing searches for 944 info back in 2002.
