Occupation: Self employed Chimney Sweep, 25 years
Hobbies:coming off a 25 year back round of Sport Bike motor cycles (current 1997 Suzuki Bandit 1200 fully set up and 130RWHP, 0-60 2.3 seconds, the Porsche Killer), Photography, surfing the web (now for Porsche related stuff
Porsche Genesis: I am getting out of motor cycles and was thinking, "muscle cars" I love the old Mopars, challengers, chargers, road runners.... but could not find one in my price range, so I thought "I have always loved the old 911's" so I started looking and more 944's kept coming up in my searches and the more I looked the more I loved the 944, spoke to a sports car mechanic and he said go for a 85.5 or latter 944, I found one, took one ride in it and it was love at first sight got it 2 months ago and have more than 2000 miles on her, I love it
Rennlist: fount it and a few others in a google search

Porsche genesis: I've always thought the 944 is one of the best looking cars ever made. So I had been looking for one for a while... I was driving a 64 Falcon that I've had since I was 15 and working on a 79 Z28 project car... a buddy of mine found a 85.5 944 that needed a little work, so I bought it that day and sold the camaro a week later.

Rennlist: found through random search

Name: Neil Simon (no, I am not the playwright)
Age: 39
Occupation: Director of Human Resources
Hobbies: Working on my cars (08 Corvette, 07 Charger Daytona RT, 86 Monte Carlos SS, 87 944), drag racing (currently race my 08 Corvette, runs 10.9-11.1 in quartermile, thanks to a 418 stroker and other go fast parts)
Porsche Genesis: I fell for Porsches when I was a little kid. My dream was to own a Corvette and a Porsche. Well, I am on Corvette #4 (owned Corvettes for the past 12 years) and recently bought an 87 944.
Rennlist: I found the site when I was researching my purchase of a 944. Great site and am learning more and more everyday about my first foreign car.

Name: Rich
Age: 44
Occupation: Currently unemployed. Previous career was tool and die/toolmaker. Back to school for a degree in the NDT field and a midlife career change.
Location: Twin Cities suburbia, MN
Hobbies: Have played with cars and bikes since I was 13. Love to fabricate. If I can do it myself, I will.
First car: Green '69 Camaro, complete rust bucket but what a learning experience. Way too many hotrods, trucks and bikes since.
My current mistresses are the German, the Italian of the 2-wheeled variety and the American Tomboy. (Hotrod truck)
Porsche Genesis: Graduated from HS when the 944 appeared on the scene and have been smitten ever since. Finally got around to actually owning one in 2006
Rennlist: I did it backwards. I should have looked for this place BEFORE I bought the 944 and saved myself some grief.

Name: Jeff Watson

Porsche Genesis: VW doesnt make any worthy RWD vehicles, and considering VW owns Porsche, i figured this would be my best bet, plus its a good platform for an LS1 swap and it'll be fun driving it at mosport (which i live 15mins away from )
The best part is my Fiancee let me pick it up 2 months before our wedding, she'll be a great wife haha
Picked up this last week:

I've been on Rennlist for at least 5 years. Moved from SoCal to Louisville, KY 5 years ago, moving back to Socal in August. Went to 2 Fests while I was here, missed the last 2. Work before play....uuurrrggghh ! Be nice to try and get something like that going on the West Coast.
