Name: Adam Person
Age: 20
Occupation: Engineering Student (Sept-April) Forest Firefighter (May-August)
Car: In the process of acquiring formerGMguy's 951.
Non-Porsche Related Hobbies: Snowboarding, Reading, The Gym, Hanging out in Northern Ontario.
Porsche Genesis: I've always had a Passion for the Sultans of Stuttgart, and maybe 3-4 years ago, I decided I needed a 944, and so I set my sights on one for a while, my interest got sidetracked by University, but the fire never died. I then discovered the 951, and now I'm about to get my first one. I've got the disease.
Past: Some of you may know me as Porsche from AF, CF and now The Skidpad. I've been in the forum game for something like 6 years now, seen a lot, still got a lot to learn. I figured I'd finally join the rennlist after many hours as a guest here. The 951 section has made a wonderful impression on me, and I'm glad to be aboard.

Name: NC
Age: 40 something
Car: 1986 944 NA
Having always wanted a Porsche, I told my lady friend about this dream. She found my 944 at a car lot in Mayberry (Mt. Airy) NC. It seems that a father had bought the car for his 16 y.o. and the son did not want the car.
I own a swimming pool maintenance business and during the cooler months I am a baker. I had been saving my baking bucks and had enough saved from the winter to buy the car for cash.
CameronKame, if you want a ride, I'm less than 30 minutes away.

Name: Chris G.
Age: 27
Occupation: Consultant in the Healthcare Industry (mainly insurance)
Why: My dad owned many porsches over his lifetime...88 911 Turbo, 96 911TT, etc.
I just got my first one 86 951. I'm also looking to purchase a late 80s 911 Turbo soon. I've always been a fan of turbo cars to begin with and own several others. 4 out of the 5 cars I currently own are turbo.
Here's a pic of the current 951

59 this coming September...........does that make me the old geezer here ?
'86 N/A
Work in television production, Technical Director, video engineer.
My wife had an '86 N/A when I met her. Her ex husband bought it for her new. I wrecked it.......bummer.......Fruedian ? Always did like the styling of the 944's.
My dad was a mechanic his whole life and I always loved working on cars, motorcyles, have had too many over the years to list. I really like working on my current car after having been away from that hobby for a long time.
Stumbled onto Rennlist while searching for help on smog related problems, when i lived in California.
Lurked there for a while, got lots of helpful tips and info, so I joined.
I've met a few other listers in person, and look forward to meeting more at this years Fest. I'm originally from Akron, so I'll get to visit some relatives while I'm in that area.

I'm 20.
I'm currently a full time student studying business, not exactly the specifics yet. haha. I also work about 25 hours a week(during school, more during summer) as a sales associate at Sears Home Entertainment(I watch tv at work.)
I drive an 81 931 that I'm slowly building to be a monster.. and by slow, I do mean slow because Im working on poor college student budget.
Not quite sure how I got hooked on these cars, my dad talked me into my current one. I want to keep it and buy a 951 as well.

Erik Ohrnberger
45 yrs old - Sr. Software Engineer, previously Corporate IT director (jobs are tough to come by right now around here)
I've wanted a Porsche since I wa 8. Grand Pa bought me my first one, a red 911 Matchbox. Inheritance allowed me to get the one I got, and am lovin' it.
This is my Porsche. It shall not want (not if I can help it anwyay).
Gnerally pretty mechanically inclined, due to a VW bug in high school and a VW sirocco in college. I've done 95% of my own work on the car. Amazing, but not surprizing, how similar they are constructed.
Best wishes to one and all, new and old.

Age: 21
I'm currently a full time student at Iowa State studying industrial/systems engineering and working an internship for Fisher Control Valves in manufacturing. I live with MiyagiKarate (rennlist member) who also was the one to introduce me to rennlist.
P-car Genisis: First contact came at age 3 when my uncle bought a 356.
First car: 94 Plymouth "LASER" 93hp at the crank baby!
Begin Evolution: Sold the "LASER" at 17 and went in on a 96 Miata with my dad as his weekend car/my daily driver.
Bliss: My grandfather bought my 85.5 944 in 1989. Made frequent road trips up to LaCrosse, WI just for the fun roads up the banks of the Mississippi At age 14 I got my learners permit and he taught me to drive a 5-speed. Fast foreward to age 19. After a year of walking and bumming rides from friends at college, my grandfather decided it was time for him to switch to something not so "low to the ground" (hard to get in and out of at 81yrs). Sold the car to me for a good "in the family" home and bought a 99 saab 9-3 convertable. I love the car and have no intention of ever selling it until it is given to my children or grandchildren. I have plans for a 951 but chances are it will come and go. The 944 will never leave.
